Actually very few workers in Mexico work for minimum wage, there are a host of other factors far more important.

Monthly income is just one way to obtain a Visa. Showing 6 continuous months of bank statements equaling, I believe now, about $50,000 US gets one the prize also. While many retired folks may not have $84,000 of 'income' they do have 'savings' that would more than qualify them.

I believe monthly income AND a years savings are based on a multiple of the minimum days pay. Both go up. I sure don't mind being corrected on this matter.

Not sure of your point but....  I was just suggesting that there are more ways than just monthly income to qualify for residency. The 'baselines' will increase (they always have) next year as this Post is discussing. Temporal will increase from $55k to $72k of savings.

1) Monthly income  2) Saving/Investments 3) Mexican home ownership and 4) Investing in a business here

Glad we got our perm residents 2 years ago. And raises in min wage gets you large cost in creases.  Was watching a video of a woman who went to 5 bros in cali and she showed a receipt for 2 burger meals...$60 lol. A guy responded with his own video taco bell for 2 people $30! Yeah these types of min wage increases sure don't cause inflation.

But it tends to keep the riff raff outta Mexico...always a positive development.
