Says it has Mexican plates.

I think this part is confusing:

IT CAN BE TITLED IN YOUR

NAME OR COMPANY NAME IN MONTANA WITH LIFETIME PLATES AND THEN YOU CAN GET A TEN

YEAR PERMIT FOR IT FOR MEXICO. OR USE IT WITH MEXICAN PLATES THAT ARE ON IT NOW.

OK, I'll explain....  the state of Montana charges no sales tax to corporations. So people (with legal help) set up an LLC there when they are buying those big $300,000-$600,000 motorhomes that would have mammoth taxes in their home state.  States have long caught on to this and are seeking out Montana plated motorhomes to fine the owner (unless they are full-timers and really have no home residence in the US).

OP is suggesting that it currently has Mexican plates if one just wants to buy and keep it here with no hassle. Liability insurance available here using TIO Corp.  But if one wants to take it North, they can get Montana title and lifetime plates (after they re-import it there as Mostlylost points out!). Also could get a 10-year TIP on it and bring it back if that floats one's boat.

OP may be caught up in using Montana for very expensive newer motorhomes but the cost of doing that with this old Bounder holds no advantages as the LLC cost would be more than just titling it in, say, South Dakota and keep the registration current by mail. THEN get the 10-year TIP if one wanted to bring it back down.
