NEWMtnMama
No you are wrong. Drag shows and books are the problem. Not lack of common sense gun control laws.
Jreboll
In the old days we tried to outdo our neighbors by getting a nicer car than theirs. Now we get ourselves a more powerful gun than what they’ve got.
Usvetsinmexico
All kinds of guns in the rural areas but non of the problems big cities have. Also your fine with stripper woman doing sexual acts in front of elemtary kids? And those books they are removing have under age porn in them. So bad the same school boards that let young kids check them out have called the police for parents reading them at public school board meetings. So your OK with the kids given porn in grade school that is so bad it can't be read in public? Non of that has to do with the violence that fills USA big cities. But you have to bring it up to distract from what he said. Mexico is safer than USA big cities.

The number one largest group growing in gun sales are people who vote dem so they can protect themselves from the criminals who are loose in the big cities. Why I'm a recovering catholic is partially that. But also not part of the big city violence problems. But again nice distraction from the subject. Still didn't answer... Are you OK with sexual performance in front of children as young as elementary? And books so porn filled they can't be read in public or picture's from them posted the internet like here on this board?
Jreboll
USA has always been uptight about sex even though it’s being displayed everywhere. here in Mexico it’s not displayed as much but gays are more accepted. if you’ve got a problem with alternate life styles then maybe the problem is in you.
Mainecoons
Let's don't get political. I think it is hard not to feel civilization is in decline everywhere. We will not be immune though things are still better here IMO. I seriously doubt you will find schools here pushing gay porn live demonstrations and books on elementary school kids, Jreboll. This is not about acceptance, this is about stopping extremist sexual activists from grooming and recruiting children. I have a helluva problem with that as do most decent people. And some other people need to relearn the concept of keeping one's private lives private and between consenting ADULTS. If you have a problem with that I would suggest the problem is you and others who think like you.
Jreboll
Again you didn’t mention the grooming and abuse that starts in church and sometimes also in school sports. I’ve never been in a gay bar but I doubt there’s children in there being groomed. many of us start out as fundamentalist Christians and quickly develop an allergy to it. Mainecoons
Grooming isn't OK anywhere. No one is suggesting that. Gay bars are for adults, gay or otherwise. No problema. You are trotting out red herrings here. Nothing in any of the above is about what you are posting. Do you think sexually explicit displays and books belong in grade school classrooms or not? If you do, I stand by the last sentence of my post above yours.
HoneyBee
If you have Mexican friends with Facebook I suggest you ask them about crime. Chapala murder rate is well how can I say disturbing, but this type of crime is not reported in the local news unless it happens in a public places.😑

Did I say that? My oldest son is gay and his first boyfriend stressed about how great I was about it. Like I said would you care if female strippers were doing sexual dances in front of kids as young as elementary? It's not who that bothers me it is the what.. IE highly sexualized performance in front of minors. And porn being handed out to minors. Both are illegal but a group doesn't seem to care. Ferret
Whoa. I think Mtn Mama's post was done very tongue in cheek. I also think gun ownership reform is important... like the kind of guns available and the need for background checks. Nobody needs an uzi. Ever. Period. The books reference probably comes from this bit of stupidity... https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/alabama-library-flagged-a-children-s-book-because-the-author-s-last-name-is-gay/ar-AA1i08LA?cvid=a31afd0da5cf4b5d824e1538b2fba332&ei=14 2
NEWMtnMama
First have you watched any music videos recently? To paraphrase Wanda Sykes, until Drag Queens go to schools and libraries and beat children with copies of "To kill a Mockingbird" I think you are focusing on the wrong problem. Lastly Google 'gun violence statistics by US cities' and I expect the results may surprise you. 1
