Your impressions of Dra. Teresa Morales please

Recommended Posts

We are looking for a very good doctor for general, minor health care needs. The name of Dra. Teresa Morales was given to us and highly recommended.

Does anyone on this board have personal experience with her and if so what are your thoughts ?

Also, do you have her phone number ? I show her address as Morelos Ote. 149 Jocotepec.

Thanks

she is terriffic in ordering tests, reading results. english is fluent. her husband is the pathologist. other than than that she is usless, arrogant. tries to be a specialist in every area. she doesnt have commen sence, precribes unnecessary & incorrect medications, which can be dangerous. im impressed w/her husband. he said i was right on every account. again, she is thorough in explaining the test results.

I've tried three different GPs here and I think she is very good. She caught a misdiagnose that the well know Ajijic doctor had made.

A friend was having problems with his Canadian doctor in getting the exactly correct medication and she solved it. (387) 763 1088.

She has been my doctor for 13 years and I am very please with her. I never had any problems with getting what I needed from her for the insurrance. She has helped me with my husband´s problems via e-mail when we were out of town and never charge me for it.

She is one of the three so called "Dr. Death" in this community. There are other, better physicians in the area so why bother with someone who has a dubious reputation. Dr. Juan Pablo Loza in Chapala is an excellent diagnotician, Dr. Santiago Hernandez in Chapala and Dr. Lupita (sorry, don't know her last name which is a frequent problem at Lakeside) at Integrity Clinic. I have not heard anything bad about these three as far as treatment is concerned; about the others you will hear all kinds of stories, good and bad.

Here's a link for a list to take with a grain of salt. http://www.insidelakeside.com/t6775-list-of-ajijic-area-doctor-s-and-specialists-updated

I know I will get a batch of "you know what" for saying what I have about Dr. Theresa, but if I were looking for a Dr. I'd try to find one that no one had anything bad to say. And the three I mentioned as being the "good" ones, I have heard nothing but complements.

If you have heard nothing but good stories about Dr. Hernandez, you have not spoken to the same people I have. Just sayin´. I have also heard not good stories about the other two--just not first hand. In fact, there is a slam against Dr. Loza on TOB just posted this morning. If you are here long enough, you will hear bad stories about every doctor. You have to evaluate and decide for yourself.

That link needs to be updated a lot changed since Dec 2012. I.e Dr Hector Valenzuela is an excellent gastropod-enterologist and surgeon at Integrity.

I have been very satisfied with Dra. Morales. I have been going to her for over 5 years. She is a great listener, takes all the time you need, and her husband is a good lab technician. She supported my husband through his final illness, and she was very devoted. She is available by phone whenever you need her. I consider that the doctor-patient relationship is a 2-way street. I do not like doctors who will not listen to me. She is a good listener and respects my opinions. She is no substitute for specialists, but she is good at coordinating care, and she knows some very good specialists. I do not know any perfect doctors here at Lakeside, but I know what various ones are good at, and the fact that she is attentive and available and caring is a big plus to me. And as I am a woman, I like having a female doctor.

You are going to hear Good, Bad and Indifferent stories about all of the doctors in the area.

It will up to you to make a final decision. If it does not work out, then try another one.

Everyone has an opinion about Drs. and I heard poor things about all of them including the ones Yo1 is recommending. You have to go to one and see if that Dr fits what you need. They all have their quirks. I have gone ttwo Drs over the years, Dra Morales and D Garcia at Maskaras. They are very different and do not always agree but I like them both. My husband is looking for the great Dr in the area has been to all of them including Integrity and is still looking . It all depends on what you are looking for in a Dr I am happy with the ones I see.

I suppose we can have different views, but calling her "arrogant" is beyond my understanding. She spells very well, unlike some English speakers. My husband and I found her to be a very discerning diagnostician who was ready to pass us on to specialists when the need arose. I believe her intervention in my husband's lung problem four years ago saved his life. Further, she is delightful and witty.

She also keeps good records of your past history which is important and as GaleM says will recommend you to good specialists when she cannot handle the problem. Arrogant is not a word I would use when describing her.

She is not cheap and that is something some people cannot deal with.On the other side I have taken a couple of people to her who could not afford her services and she has helped them for free so if you pay a little more think that you are helping some less fortunate people .

I'm amazed at some of the things the moderators allow to be said on this board and the " Doctor of Death " comment has to be the mother of all ignorant and irresponsible posts . Yet, it stays.

The OP asked for " personal experiences" , not unsubstantiated gossip . You speak with such authority but your useless babble is, well...useless.

good personality, fluent english, compassion can capitvate a patient. the tests reveal the conditions, she orders the correct tests. fine. after wards it's downhill. i returned for some other things. 3 strikes in a row for me, then i was out. arrogant means: that the GP guesses, but the patient really needs a specialist. she over precribes, & its usually the wrong medication which in both cases had the opposite effect. when the pathologist said i correct, that was the signal. that was her HUSBAND. glad i have goggle. i know the dr death, & hes even worse. i cant even believe he graduated med school. crooked, lazy, greedy, dumb. no ones perfect but these 2 were circus pony acts.

Thank you Betsy,

Yes, I did specify " personal experiences" and you were one of the few that actually read that !

I too am amazed at how this board has become similar to less civil and intelligent boards. The mods need to start paying more attention to the postings. Otherwise this board will lose it's value as a source of information.

Sometimes the moderator has to shut down the whole topic in order to shut down the irrational remarks said by some. Better to let the useful posts remain, as we come to recognize who the nuttiest posters are and we can just skip over them. Or read them and roll our eyes.

I hadn't thought of that. Guess you're correct. Possibly they could ban the nut jobs. Otherwise they may take over as with some other boards in the past.
