  1. Yes, it does look like I've missed the 'live' ones.....
  2. 59F last two nights west side of Ajijic....
  3. Haven't been here on Christmas for a while. Is/are there any particular streets that will have Posadas? And is the live creche still at the Ajijic cathedral?
  4. Thanks John.... but what cuotas are there on the 'AGS route to Laredo'?
  5. Yes, try there... AutoZone.... or ORMA in Riberas across from Mom's Cafe.
  6. It's been a while since I drove OUT of Mexico through Torreon. Last time the road from Zacatecas up to Torreon was in bad repair. Also somewhat the cuota north of Torreon. Anybody gone north that route in the last year?
  7. Many of them... look in the weekly Guadalajara Reporter and/or the December Ojo del Lago.
  8. The moral of that story is.... buy only for yourself. 🤣
  9. I took that route last week 'just to observe it' as there was some talk about trucks potentially using it. NO truck traffic could make it on that route! That's probably a good thing. Under certain circumstances using that route could be a time saver depending on Libramiento and Carretera traffic and just where one is coming from/going to, but I don't see it as a big solution to much of anything. There are two sets of topes on that calle, one at the entrance into El Parque and another north. It is the part north of the Little Theater entrance that has been expanded up to the Libramiento lateral. Nice surface.... at least for the time being. It WAS raining when I traveled it and there was a significant amount of water flowing down the street.
  10. This is not a question one really has to ask.....
  11. Unfortunately pool noodles probably won't work as my lines are pretty tight loops.
  12. The direct summer sun has done a number on the refrigerant line insulation 'material'.... rubber and/or foam... on one of my mini split outdoor units. Those refrigerant lines are OK but I want to recover them with a 'tape wrap' product. Another of my units had this done some time in the past. Anyone done this or know where I might look for some 'insulated tape'. Yes, I could call an A/C repair person but this is/should not be a rocket science fix.
  13. Not a citizenship question. Reportedly the Shaw signal will not be available Lakeside past Springtime.
  14. Margaret Ancira cell 331-177-6330 or Mark Turford cell 333-398-9045 Both rent used vehicles with insurance. Mark's maybe a little older but....
  15. The former must mean that you have/can get access to the hot water pipe outside next to your bath. The latter says you have solar and can add to it. If'n it were me and I really wanted lots of hot water for my bath and not 'just warm', I'd install a small electric On Demand HW heater on that outside wall instead of a 'circulator'. Then add a panel and you've got really hot water to bathe in. Or try the 'circulator' and if that doesn't do the trick to your satisfaction THEN add a panel and the On Demand heater in place of the circulator.
  16. I completely understand. I'm sure you will share with us what your Alabama lawyer says about your particular situation.
  17. Wow, they had been around for MANY years....
  18. As Ferret and Mostlylost have suggested, a true On Demand system has no tank and pilot light. Maybe manufacturers back then wanted to get in on the 'On Demand' market and called theirs that but any system with a tank doesn't qualify. "What is On Demand about having a tank full of hot water that must be kept.... hot!" Back years ago those systems here were hit and miss with respect to functionality... mostly miss. Didn't work well with non-pressurized systems and even many pressurized ones. Or eating up batteries. Bosch... usually a trusted name... was seemingly the worst. These days they seem to have gotten most of the bugs worked out, but I still think that there are limitations. There is basically no way to get 'scalding hot water' out of them and often only 'luke warm' max in some situations. Often this is either not possible or a major expense due to house structure. After a house is built, getting to the plumbing for an interior bath that is a long way from the water source for example.
  19. Interesting how some have lost almost nothing and others have almost nothing left. Dish alignment? Old receiver? Luck?
