The reason for the post is that if you are generating income in Mexico with CEDES or CETES then a Mexican tax return will be required. That is what my previous contador has told me. This thread "Multiva" has morphed as many do here. I will just go to Multiva and ask Juan Duran. Thanks to @Mexjims1 post for the contact info. No problems.

John Shrall
16 hours ago, Jim Bowie said: So, John, do you use the CEDE or the CETE mostly? Mostly CEDE but I've been making monthly CETE deposits and staggering terms. Cetes Directo does withhold ISR at maturity so that part is the same as Multiva CEDES. For the past couple of months, 12 month CETES were paying less than 6 or 3 months. I'm not sure what that means. CETE rates have been dropping slowly since last October even though the Mexican policy rate has been steady for many months at 11.25%.

daisy2013
11.25 or the 11.28% is the net interest after taxes taken out. This is a great return

mexijims1
What is the current Federal tax rate taken out of investments in MX? Thank you.
Mainecoons
I believe it went way down to like 1 or 1.5 percent of total account value. Be interesting to see how long that lasts.
mexijims1
A couple of years ago it actually went all the way down to 0.08% Federal tax rate, but I have not kept up with the rate. I need to ask Juan.

HoneyBee
I know this is not about Multiva but does Intercam manage Stocks traded in Pesos. I looked at their website but could not find a clear answer.

mexijims1
Cannot answer about Multiva's online hours for business tranactions. Ask them at 376-766-0912. However, I just found out from them that the Federal tax rate on investments for this year is 0.50%
