A concession agreement between the Frac and the Municipal government is a contract that stipulates the Municipality agrees to concede provision of services such as street lighting, water and garbage collection to the Frac. Solar hot water heating is probably the best investment given the cost of propane. I would guess the payback is well less than two years. We put in 22 panels @ 240 watts ten years ago along with solar hot water. We then gradually switched out all our gas appliances (except the BBQ and pizza oven) for electric. My Northern friends are in disbelief when I tell them I spend 25 pesos a month for electricity (with a pool and landscape lighting) and 2,000 pesos annually for propane and it will only get better with AMLO at the helm. Yup...megawatts. Photovoltaic and solar water heating here at Lakeside are a gift if you can afford the one-time upfront costs. I haven't paid anymore than the 25 pesos a month for electricity in the ten years since I got many panels. That includes a swimming pool and a pressure system. Five years ago during a kitchen renovation I switched to electric appliances. Now I use my heritage large propane tank to run my BBQ. I fill the propane tank each December whether I need to or not. SunFan (and now my moniker makes even more sense)

And of course the panels drop in efficiency year over year. I wish CFE would be required to show me my accumulated megawatts. Then I wouldn't feel so guilty about using their grid for only 25 pesos a month. SunFan
