johanson Posted December 16, 2023 Report Share Posted December 16, 2023 After leaving El Torito at about 10 AM or a few minutes later I headed West toward the Ajijic Pemex gas station for a refill. At the same time some twenty black police trucks raced by heading West. Soon thereafter I too tried to go West, but the traffic was blocked off by some of the Police trucks with lights blinking, on the Carretera, at about the point where Colon crosses the street, you know, near the intersection. Wanting to get home, I turned north few blocks and worked my way past Colon and to the top of Juarez where I live. I have no idea what was happening. I just know that I cannot ever remember that many police vehicles heading past me with sirens screeching on the way to a perhaps crime scene in my life. When I got home, my gardener said that he heard what appeared to be numerous gunshots fired by perhaps one gun in what he thought might be lower Ajijic, near the square, a few minutes before he heard the many sirens from many vehicles passing by toward the general area of where he thought the gunshots might have been coming from. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Approaching from the west heading east I saw a lot of motion followed by 2 or 3 gunshots. There was lots of movement at the intersection with more trucks appearing. I turned around and went through town since it appears the carretera was shut down. Heading up the libramiento at 9am there were 2 flatbed tow trucks full of motorcycles. Not sure what that was about. When passing the casino about 10 or 15 police motorcycles came blasting down lights and sirens blaring. Really fast. State and local police trucks were at the Walmart intersection. Why and who were the police shooting at would be speculation at this time. A maroon SUV sped down with 4 - 6 motorcycles and at least 3 National Guard trucks chasing it. I do not know which was they went when they got to Ramon Corona it is thought east. The reason why they were taking the motorcycles away is because they are used in drug dealing. Police were also having check points to detect that that's why they chased this vehicle where they found drugs, money and weapons. The 2 bad guys n the car fled and escaped.
