  1. When you hit decline the ATM automatically processes your withdrawal using either Mastercard or Visas exchange rate which you can check online before you go to the ATM.
  2. You need a 4g LTE Volte phone. It is not something that your provider can change on your phone.
  3. Tracphone website says only works in USA no foreign roaming. There are phones on Amazon USA that ship to Mexico. It is best to buy one that has 4g LTE Volte capability. You can then but a Tmobil sim card with a very basic monthly plan pay as you go that will roam in Mexico., There are other companies as well. Be sure that your sim and phone use the same network type.
  4. A Tourist visa for the USA is valid for10 years. You are allowed 180 says a year in the US. At this time the only entry is by plane. If some is granted a temporary work visa than a land entry is allowed to travel to a specific job.
  5. I have had the same VOIP number for over 20 years. So far 2 financial institutions can't call after their recent security updates. There system knows somehow that it is a VOIP and blocks. I verified this with a supervisor at Capitol one. Logic says more banks and brokers will follow as security measures keep tightening.
  6. The poles are in the entrance to the Club Nautica boat ramp. They start out in the lake to show the chanel.
  7. I have a VOIP number but because I have bank and a brokerage firm whose computers can't call VOIP phone numbers I bought an inexpensive cell with 4g LTE Volte and a Tmobile SIM card that costs me $3 per month+ cost per call & text that allows roaming in Mexico. Only turn it on when expecting a text or call.
  8. I believe it was filmed at Club Nautico in La Floresta
  9. Here is the Guadalajara Airport website Last Time I used the service there was a 30 minute plus line and it took about 30 minutes more for the results. http://www.aeropuertoguadalajara.com/alertas/prueba-covid19-negativa-para-viajar-a-estados-unidos/
  10. Crocs and alligators swim on the surface for long distances.
  11. So true. My ATM fees worldwide are returned by my banks. The thing is to choose a bank that either has no branches or very few branches and none of their own ATM's . Ally Bank, Schwab, Etrade, Fidelity, and many credit unions in the US offer ATM refunds, and 1% international exchange fees. Some are unlimited fee refunds, some have a monthly limit. https://financebuzz.com/no-international-atm-fees
  12. I have both a MC debit card with Etrade, and a Visa debit card with Fidelity. Both charge 1% foreign exchange rate. Capitol one is 0% If your bank is charging 3.25% foreign exchange fee than you could change to an bank that offers better such as Ally Bank which is FDIC insured and only does business on-line. Their fee is 1% Rather than checking 3rd party websites the most accurate way to know what to expect is using Visa and Mastercard's calculator because they will be doing the actual transaction. https://www.mastercard.us/en-us/personal/get-support/convert-currency.html https://usa.visa.com/support/consumer/travel-support/exchange-rate-calculator.html/
  13. The only DHL owned office is in Ajijic on the caraterra between Colon and Juarez on the mountain side.
  14. No official information as to a location other than the 3 open in GDL. All vehicles registered in Jalisco are required and they start in August with plates ending in 7 https://verificacionresponsable.jalisco.gob.mx/?fbclid=IwAR0nKZSWx5aSjH9B-eH2Wwf_styOB941zDp5WppS0m6A6RI86BmuqFmUW5k
  15. SRE offices have all been open since January for Passport services, but nothing shows re naturalization. Always in all countries such services exist for important persons ie Harry from England getting a green card in USA while the USA wasn't doing that. Have you checked the SRE office in Mexico City? If they are processing nationalization at any office it would be there. As far as getting special treatment there have been a couple of cities that were in the past a bit lax on exams, Colima & Toluca come to mind, while Guadalajara has been over difficult. . But all the papers will be processed in Mexico City after the local deligacion is done, so no matter what a local office does, if DF is not processing them nothing will happen Possibly if you register and try to make an appointment.. https://citas.sre.gob.mx/account-register
  16. You should check with Spencer the attorney. The first post in this forum is his.

  19. Ron Young in Chapala, who holds many certifications, is very knowledgeable regarding the old VW's 376-765-6387
  20. The problem has been mostly on the free road, and the majority stopped were commercial vehicles not in daylight hours. After 7 months of people complaining and marching in the streets in Monterrey it became a news item. Thousands of trucks and cars pass daily on the two highways from Monterrey to Nuevo Laredo. Both the toll road and the libre are being heavily patrolled now. If you travel in daylight hours the chance you will have an accident is much higher than the chance you will have a problem with criminals.
  21. possibly the muddy tasting bass are really Bugle Mouth Bass which the joking colloquialism in many places for carp.
  22. Ivermectin the anti parasite drug can be purchased in Farmacia Guadalajara the name is Ivexterm
  23. It is more than obvious that regarding out of state vehicle part requirement it is basically impossible to enforce. It is most likely illegal and probably will struck down by a judge. During a press conference, the Secretary of the Environment and Territorial Development, Sergio Graf commented if you plan to visit Jalisco by car, you must process the Temporary Stay Pass. This lasts for 20 days and you can do it directly on the official website of the program. In addition, if it is going to circulate for a longer time, it will be necessary to verify like any car with Jalisco license plates. (There is no place to get this pass on the website at this time) This process will have to be carried out by every motorist who needs to travel within the limits of the state of Jalisco and has non jalisco plates, in order to avoid penalties for not having the verification badge. So those thousands of vehicles passing through Jalisco daily would all be in violation if they had not obtained this required document. Every truck, every car. Also when you receive a ticket in Mexico there is no interstate cooperation with fines. If you are say driving a vehicle from Guanajuato in Jalisco and receive a ticket that you don't pay there will be no consequences unless you try to register that vehicle in Jalisco. Added regarding law as published ..... which does not include non Jalisco vehicles... 010/2020 AGREEMENT of the Governor of the State of Jalisco that issues the Regulation of the State Law of Ecological Balance and Environmental Protection in Vehicle Verification Matters; and articles 328 and 329 of the Regulations of the State Mobility and Transportation Law are modified. P. 3 Article 328 if the mobility law "Article 328. Motor vehicles registered in the State must be submitted.." https://info.jalisco.gob.mx/sites/default/files/leyes/reglamento_de_la_ley_de_movilidad_y_transporte_pdf.pdf
