RickS
Has anyone purchased locally a new, plain propane 40 gal hot water heater lately? Not the 'on demand' kind! Where? General cost? Gracias
John Shrall
The little fixture store next to La Casa de Plomero between Tempisque & 5 de Febrero had access to Rheem 40 gallon gas water heaters when I needed one several years ago. As far as price, take a look at Home Depot Mexico. I'm sure they're higher now than when I last bought one.

Darkenstern
Here is a 40 gallon one from the Home Depot in Tlaquepaque. https://www.homedepot.com.mx/plomeria/calentadores-de-agua/deposito/calentador-de-deposito-gas-natural-152l-40gal-performance-102980
Mostlylost
Many of the bigger hardware stores here will have them available. Very common item. Really no need to leave town or order on line. I would first check Ferreplomería (formerly Casa del Plumero) mountain side west side of Ajijic close to you. In Chapala Ferreterías Calzada a chain store next to restaurant Delicias. Also ask your plumber for a quote. 2

Doug Hogan
I purchased a new Calorex water heater on line from Coppel - it was delivered the next day
timjwilson
In my opinion, everything I saw locally is poor quality.

Cinsa was heavily pushed - others I don't recall offhand - to each their own
