  1. The following was posted on a local Facebook page last night: (https://www.facebook.com/groups/489404111478774/?hoisted_section_header_type=recently_seen&multi_permalinks=1975556289530208) "Starting today, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, starting at 8:00 p.m., the entire Municipal Public Security Department of Chapala Jalisco will be working undpaer protest. But we will be attending to reports and any emergency that occurs in the only units that are in optimal conditions, safeguarding the well-being of the Chapalenses at all times. This, due to the lack of seriousness and concern shown by the authorities of our municipality. By failing to give us a response to the request that we formally requested from the Interim President. Lic. Gamaliel Soto. Where we made public the abuses, misconduct, harassment and harassment that we have been suffering from the Director of Public Security Alfredo Ulloa. And where we request his dismissal as commissioner. We were given a deadline to resolve this issue being today. But so far we don't have an answer. Denoting a total lack of concern for the very important issue of the working conditions of the entire Public Security department of the municipality. Who in turn serve all citizens. It is for this reason that we want to make public our position regarding the lack of support from the authorities who are supposed to ensure the good of the citizens and their workers. We regret the inconvenience that the current situation may cause you and we remind you that we are only asking for decent treatment and the necessary equipment to be able to serve you in a better way. Sincerely: The Public Security Department of Chapala, Jalisco."

  2. Interesting. Yesterday (Tues, 26th), the Chapala mailman delivered me another new Telmex bill. Guess what, I am now back to $388.00 again.

  11. Personally speaking, I find TelMex and TelCel both to be screaming bargains compared to what these services cost in the U.S., particularly TelCel. Easy to put up with the occasional minor problem at these prices.
