Curmudgeon
computer store in bugambilia plaza ordered a cord form sony laptop was about 800 pesos They did that for me too, then got the wrong one. I finally went to the "Technology Cube" in Guadalajara, and got one, in the original Toshiba packaging, for $350 pesos.

giltner68
Technology Cube? Is that the 3 floor plaza in Centro? Yes, Amazon has them for less than $10, but?
HelperGuy
This came up a couple of weeks ago, and the poster found something that worked at the tianguis on Wednesday from the guy who sells electrical components. Just make sure you know the Voltage and the polarity if you buy a universal adaptor, as most are not designed for laptops. Perhaps a better option is WalMart here, that just started carrying these things specifically for laptops at under $250 pesos. Bring your laptop to compare the jack with the tips provided in the package.
bradshoe
Walmart has universal power cords - multiple fittings to match up to your laptop. About $250MX as I remember. Worked fine for the week our guest was here without.
