  1. I find that using my notepad while my maid cleans my office and thus the use of those pointer things makes me make mistakes unknowingly.
  2. Jrod you did such a good job of summarizing Moya video, I'd like to ask permission to use it for Hectors Chapala EXPAT LIAISON page? Sorry for the spelling error:-) auto correct can get me in trouble
  3. It looks like the Hernandez Brothers are putting in an econo box housing project just to the east of Los Sabinos. Sadly these buyers will not have support programs to assist them. Any emergency event will put them in distress. In the past the smaller more intimate village did fund raisers to assist others. In the bigger less personal picture these events won't happen/ be supported.
  4. The governor's plan stage 1 calls for public spaces and parks to remain closed. The municipal department heads are studying the plan and will make recommendations to mou ASAP.
  5. As far as I know, there been 13 deaths in Ajijic and one in Chapala. The people who are booohouing about the liquor stores are addressing their own addictions! The people who are dying are long time users of this type of drink and are subcoming to a bad batch from one producer. Not that they deserve to die and also the pain to their families is just as real.
  6. Just Had a wonderful Yankee pot roast from E! Toronto!
  7. No, prices have gone up from Costco to the veggie stands and assuredly everyone will feel it. How could you avoid it?
  8. We have used Similaries for many years and their generics are as described above. The one instance were I have felt that the med wasn't adequate is Tramacet.
  9. Hector went to all the major stores in the last couple of days and reminded them of the proper procedures. These will continue indefinitely. The deaths by alcohol poisoning both nationally and locally are a tragedy. Just don't take a chance.
  10. From Hector, Chapala Expat Liaison . several days ago the police circulated a prohibition to sell this type of alcohol " Agranel" , Since the 9th there have been 10 deaths in Ajijic and one in Chapala due to ingestion of this alcohol. This is NOT Covid, Police and Health Department.are investigating. More at Chapala EXPAT Liaison Facebook
  11. there have been numerous complaints to the municipality of people aibnbing while all other businesses are closed. These people are exposing the public to outsiders who could easily be infected or carriers. My Mamma taught me to get the good Karma and not the bad and her wisdom has paid off.
  12. You should have been closed for the last six weeks! I love Karma!
  13. Businesses can apply for government assistance. There is a program. The United Way is a terrible example. Their percent of dollar going to the intended is the lowest of charities scanned. Hector, Chapala EXPAT Liaison has been looking for the overlooked as there are many trying to help. He has begun his second round of dispensas and is questioning the poor on medications they are going without.
  14. BTW Mexicans apologize for walking in front of you . NOTICE THE VIDEOS , THEY speak the truth ... No I'd, no licence, belligerent actions, to the police , slurred speech, and follow me to house to see my docs? I know you don't have a dog in this fight , you just want to maintain your Oracle status,Peddy!
  15. Oh great Oracle of Chapala, how can you challenge others information. What is the source of your infallable visions, oh great one?
  16. Yes, it is me as I had account problems and needed to start a new account. I write as I write. Perhaps when I am translating from spanish it looks a little different. I still say I am thankful to a governor and Presidente who are acting to protect their citizens. Remember the regime in Mexico City is a different party and they all always get in any stabs they can. We are being protected. Not being political , but, I know Gov. Cuomo is a different party . Surprise just like here and he has done a splendid job. In fact I repeatedly heard him referred to as Presidential!
  17. Put me on the list will need to fill in some of our 100+ pots.
  18. I have a copy of the Mexican Constitution and can't find a word about liquor stores. But, I know our governor and Presidente (mayor) are imposing regulations as seen in New York to protect as many citizens as possible. I respect what Gov Coumo has done for NY and how Jalisco and especially Chapala municipality has been protected.
  19. I know that Peddy K is the Oracle of Chapala, but, you should get the facts---like the guy had NO ID, no drivers licence, had obviously been drinking, and that there is a video of his abuse of the police. I would never speak for you, god forbid. I need a shower just thinking about it!
Gracias, Sr. Presidente Harry Bublin I understand that you and the police are taking a lot of political heat for arresting an unidentified man, who had obviously been drinking and was not a Chapala resident, at a checkpoint. I want to thank you and the police for doing their job and protecting us. I speak for many, if not all, of the expat community. Thank you, Mr. President Harry Bublin
  21. Wal-Mart is adding water. It makes the inventory go farther and the rest Goes home.:-)
  22. I was told the medical authorities are maintaining the check points. I talked to Juan Ramon about the after hours violations of the ban. I'll do so again. They said that they stepped up security at the bus station.
  23. I was in Sat hospital for surgery...in the bed with the iv started when one of the nurses noticed one of my meds. Surgery cancelled. A week later, back in the hospital and shoulder surgery with a specialist who only does joints. Surgery went well. 9p.m.I asked for food. 10:30 I told them I was diabetic and if I didn't get fed, I was WALKING OUT! 10:30 I got minimal nourishment and took my diabetes meds. At that time, I asked for a sleeping pill as per my records, which came an hour and a half later.. During my 24 hours there , they never checked my sugar level or offered meds. As my records show blood pressure meds, they never checked my blood pressure nor offered med The doctors were good and attentive, but, the hospital itself could have been deadly Once out l sent an extended email of my experiences which has never been answered.
  24. I buy the French roast /extra fine grind from the red truck guy.
