  1. Just called a Mexican nurse I know who does home nursing services etc. and who knows "people" in various places that have them, and will rent them out. She's checking the closest available and the cost (told her one month) and she'll get back to me ASAP: If you want to call me (land line) it's 376 766 3580 OR call her yourself directly if you speak Spanish: Rosario 333 947 7504
  2. Angus i know nothing about this equipment, but I did find them for sale (several models/options) on both MercadoLibre and Amazon Mexico. Also, I THINK I remember that Sra. Lidia, who supplies in-home nursing care etc. in Lakeside area and who has/had a connection to the local medical supplies store might rent you one.Her cell is 333 156 9080 Doesn't exactly offer you the fastest/best solution, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Pretty sure IF you have to buy one that MercadoLibre will get it to you faster than Amazon Mx. And GOOD LUCK
  3. Gobbledygook is gobbledygook no matter in what country it's used to obfuscate and confuse.🤣
  4. That's another reason I'm not going. They can lie about the actual votes (si o no) but my absence will contribute to keeping totals below 40%.
  5. Just AMLO trying to divert attention from his own failures to those of his predecessors. Informal vote that will change nothing because no possible way for enough people to vote that results could have any legal effect. Just go about your own business as usual. Being a citizen I COULD vote, but not sure if there's even a polling station nearby for my "no" to the one question, and I've read wording is so ambiguous it makes the whole stunt meaningless anyway.
  6. This and your other earlier replies are the reason why yous should be doing this search by yourself.... because individuals will always have personal likes/dislikes/wants/needs etc. and you don't seem to want to agree with anyone else on this.
  7. Informador says they've just finished (July 30) the 30-39 year old age group in Guad plus they did a huge bunch of people from 80 businesses in the "industrial sector". Since he is under 30, my guess is keep trying to register on the web site but ALSO see if someone from Bimbo can help. They will have a lot more pull that Harry in this instance. Suerte.
  8. THANK YOU inCHapala1.... since I was after much more than 6,000, I'll bite the bullet and keep going to CiBanco when I have to (not all that often because I get the max x 2 cards when I go). Appreciate your feedback.
  9. Sadly, they apparently don't. At the risk of hijacking this thread, I'll refer to an email received yesterday from a friend FROM another friend who uses FB (neither of us do) where a local was bewailing the fact that she and hubby are both fully vaccinated so expected to be safe, and now he (?both) have CoV---- saying they were "lied to and misled" .... guessing she meant immunity?. She then went on to beg everyone to wear masks, vacc'd or not.
  10. As usual you don't quite pay attention to the question. I realize I need a machine that takes my "type" of card. Citibanamex is one that does. So do CiBanco and HSBC here for that matter.. But I don't HAVE (or do I want) A Citibanamex card. So again........ asking someone who has used a Citibanamex ATM to withdraw funds from a different and out-of-Mexico bank.
  11. Went to CiBanco ATM today. Their usage fee (not exchange rate) is up to 58 pesos . When I was last at Costco the Citibanamex machine charged me just under 31 pesos (tax incl)......... but that was for an HSBC (Mexico) withdrawal. Does anyone know if that's usage the fee they change for international withdrawals as well? Because if yes, might be heading for WM machine next time! Gracias.
  12. Correct... as far as it goes. BUT... what everyone needs to get thru' their thick skulls is double-vaccinated people can spread ANY variant... AND they can (not necessarily will) still get sick from any of them!!! They just won't get "as" sick.
  13. That's beyond callous and thoughtless. Do you realize how hard it is for handicapped people to get a job here?
  14. You'd be lucky to get fruit that soon (some can take 20 years from seed) BUT you are NOT guaranteed to get the "same" tree. That's why avocados are grafted.... the variety you want on a strong base plant. Nursery-bought plants will have that. Look for one where the graft is quite low, looks really well grown into itself and is not bent at a strange angle, so that trunk will be strong as the tree matures. You'll get fruit in 2-3 years, depending.....
  15. No it isn't! And you don't need to KEEP 10 females as long as you (normally) have one of each. But you do have to learn the difference in the flowers to tell the sex of the tree. I got super lucky with the last one I started from seed. ... it's a hermaphrodite so not not only self-pollinates, it also produces long, lean fruits instead of huge roundish ones. Funny thing is I was down to two plants, one being the stronger looking, but then that plant got injured so I reluctantly cut it off at ground level, and low and behold the survivor had both male and female flowers.😁 Produces like crazy! Today we will cut it off about 4 feet from the ground as it's gotten tall and weak, and encourage the one side branch already fruiting plus more to come form below. My friend Mr. Google says this works, so will follow instructions and cross my fingers.
  16. OK.... I'll bite. WHAT exactly does your topic heading have to do with your photo?????
  17. https://harvesttotable.com/how-to-plant-grow-and-harvest-avocados/ This site is quite informative about harvesting, and a few others things. Your photo looks a lot like the Hass variety, and if this is the case, fruit can be left on the tree as long as 8 months, picked a few at a time, brought indoors, wrapped in newspaper, and checked daily. Or you can store in the fridge for quite some time and then ripen at your schedule. There is, however, a time limit after which fruits will not be as tasty. DO NOT pick all at once!! The one thing you really need to know is they are shallow rooted and if you overwater you can kill them. Been there. Done that.(Well, landlord's handyman did.... but I would have stopped him sooner if I'd known) Enjoy!!
  18. And yet from 2004 on for a few years, makes this look like a drought!
  19. Roundup is inactivated the moment it hits soil..... so no help at all with things underground.
  20. IS there any room on your side of the fence between wall and house? If yes,get someone to dig down below all the roots, cutting right through them as he goes. It won't kill a big tree like that and will buy you quite a lot of time. Might have to do it again but not for a few years. You could make sure the trench is quite deep, and have him fill with cement, but guessing the roots would crack into that too so why bother?
  21. YAYYY!!! And happy for the students on the receiving end!!!
  22. All true. Add to that maybe driver was drunk.... maybe the car was stolen......maybe driver has no insurance and no way to pay..... maybe, maybe, maybe That's why paying for legal services on your insurance is a necessary expense. If YOU have done the killing of someone you might still go to jail, but in most other cases legal rep shows up and deals with police in order to avoid that.
  23. There is never a way to know. The guy who used to be the guard there (now retired) told me it depends on demand at all the machines that company services (Guad included), what they think will be needed and when, IF they actually perform as expected (he would sometimes tell me "xxx hours" and when I went back "not yet.......much later"......) Those delays were not under anyone's control out here altho' I think he had a little more info since he was the one there with the big gun! (they are safe, they wear face masks..☺️) WHAT has that got to do with this post?????
  24. There's a product sold in many ferreterias called "Plagas-Sin"..... 1 L. whitish spray bottle with red sprayer top. Label says it kills cockroaches, crickets, ants, Black Widow spiders, bedbugs, fleas, ticks, etc. I can absolutely say it kills those pesky little ants in the house instantly. I identify where they're coming from (always from behind light plugs/switches or else in spaces in mortar between bricks ). It sets from wide spray to direct stream. I aim direct stream right at source from a short distance (according to label). Dead ants everywhere!! It's a synthetic pyrethroid (not to be confused with permethrin) and is a lot safer to use. Still need precautions listed on label, but much more environmentally friendly than Cynoff.
