  1. Seems to me that 90% of the streets in the village are already one-way....
  2. No. As was stated in the original Post, where the Hotel Casa Mis Amores was/is.
  3. I agree that folding mattresses aren't very comfortable but the proof will be when you actually see one at the store. Kam's suggestion is a good one if you have enough room.... and bed frames can be very inexpensive. Good Luck... and my condolences on your wife's illness.
  4. You are just a WEALTH of information....
  5. ... as MtnMama said, on a lot of street fruit stands. All over.
  6. I'm not aware of an RV "park" as such in San Antonio. There were a couple of different places for 3-4 trailers each but last time I looked around... February.... one was gone and the other looked to have 2 or 3 long term trailers.
  7. Clarification? The US Dollar has NOT declined 'since the last election'. In fact the US Dollar Index has risen from around 90 in late 2020 to currently around 102, peaking at 112 last Fall. The Mexican Peso has risen significantly lately.... against all currencies.... which accounts for the 15% shift against the US Dollar, and that only in 2023.
  8. So a private "citizen" can just hire a tow truck and tow someone else's vehicle away. And just because they don't like that it is sitting there seemingly abandoned?
  9. There is a 'lot' across from the old train station in Chapala that is/was advertising on Facebook a couple of slots available. Does have 30amp, water and electricity. I think that there is one motorhome there currently.
  10. That's an interesting choice... is not Car Wash Moyoyo pretty much right across the street (Hidalgo)?
  11. Well I've lived at altitude for 50 years so am well acclimated and have no trouble breathing here. Going to sea level doesn't make it easier.... i.e. I don't have new-found 'energy'. Now humidity... that's another story! Conversely the reverse....low to high... would be and is felt by "low-landers" going/moving to altitude. Especially it there are any lung issues.
  12. Welcome 'back' Spencer. This Post probably should be 'pinned'.....
  13. Regardless of the altitude, there is always 21 percent oxygen in the air. The real difference is the amount of pressure pushing the oxygen into a person's lungs. I'm at 5200' but I still have 21% oxygen in the air I'm breathing. I just have to 'work harder' to get that oxygen into my lungs.
  14. ... and a make-do golf course!
  15. Things closing, moving, disappearing Lakeside, especially in the summer, is a long standing tradition.
  16. Pelican you may get lucky but the probabilities of finding someone who 1) has bradycardia, 2) moved to Lakeside from sea level and 3) reads this Board.... that's going to be a long shot. But good luck with the Bradycardia and finding an answer.
  17. Me too, but I don't think he will be able to predict how the weather patterns will continue. At least not more than a couple of weeks with reliability. But, come to think of it "the rest of the summer' is only a few more weeks. We spent most of the summer waiting for the rainy season to actually start didn't we.
  18. Not unless he is Tlaloc in disguise...
  19. At the Rancho del Oro station the rainfall for the year is down from an average of 17.74 to 9.71 Different places Lakeside will be a bit different but I don't know any place that is keeping these kind of records so as to compare.
  20. Chest X-Ray, electrocardiogram, blood tests and/or coronary angiogram are a few things that can be done prior to placing a stent. But even that/those are not conclusive. Just had a friend who was being told that he had one artery that was totally blocked and another 40% blocked. When the cardiologist went in to stint, he found one artery was perfectly open and the other was not bad enough to warrant a stint! Caveat Emptor comes to mind but who does one believe!?!
  21. Straight away you would notice the bumper to bumper traffic from Ives Restaurant (west Ajijic) to Superlake in San Antonio! Much of the day with only a couple of breaks. Seriously.
