  1. This Saturday afternoon at the usual place on Revolucion in Ajijic.
  2. Generally, how does one normally pay the monthly fee for their fiber Internet? What happens if one 'misses a payment'? Asking for a friend.
  3. Good men's cut by Mario. 100 pesos. Only patron so quiet 🙊
  4. Fred, you are truly a breath of fresh air.

    El Ancla

In another thread this restaurant 'out west of Ajijic' was mentioned for several things. What caught my eye was.... salmon dinner (thanks Gringal). Over the years I have eaten there on occasion but for some reason, although I love good salmon, had never tried that. BIG MISTAKE Went last night around 6:30. Will go back again! Try another seafood dish. Previously I think that I had just had (very good) hamburgers there but I was missing the boat (pun intended). For a place that has some good recommendations over time, I have just never seen many folks eating there. Last night there was me and a table of 3. Maybe Wednesday is not a good restaurant night and maybe that is later than many folks eat out, but IMO it's a shame 'cause they have good food. YMPWV (Your Mileage Probably WON'T Vary)
  6. Gonna try Yoley's tomorrow. Thanks to all....
  7. My usual barber retired. Anyone with a recommendation for a men's cut.... fortunately, or not!, I have lots of hair.

    Adelitas

Simple, you just put "Brunos" in the Search function and it will find that in ANY post, including this Post about Adelitas.
  9. I don't find an AREDS 2 stipulated formula pill to be cheaper. Common vitamins, which it is, are plentiful. Some 'generic' multi-vitamins contain these components just not at the 'strength'. Not sure that Zeaxanthin is an AREDS 2 component. YMMV
  10. Look at the "ingredients" on the label. I found that many/ most Macular meds are just common vitamins!
  11. OK... it was just a thought.
  12. While I absolutely do not doubt heidinrick's bad experience there, I'd give Pancho's new restaurant another chance (someone else.... maybe me! next week). It's brand new. It would not be the first 'new' restaurant that did NOT have their sh*t together for a while after opening. Just saying... Pancho generally runs a good ship. IMO
  13. sunny, just exploring this... There is actually a question that comes up first asking (paraphrasing) "Do you except paying us a fee of X pesos to use the ATM". IF declined, the ATM will shut one down and return one's card. If one says 'yes' then they will proceed with the transaction and the NEXT(?) question about acceptance is about accepting/declining the bank's conversion rate. Previously if one declines this rate the ATM will just proceed to the (good) rate. Could it have been THIS initial question that you declined?
  14. .... staying tuned for someone else trying to get pesos from HSBC.
  15. If accurate this is not good news! You say 'new software'. What do you mean... other things different or just the return of your card with no pesos?
  16. Anyone have any recommendations of particular brand and/or where to look? (I am aware of Amazon!) Thanks
  17. I suggest that you just scroll down through these La Cocina postings and you'll find a good number of threads containing info about that kind of availability Lakeside.
  18. ...got any hotel recommendations there without having to go 'into town'? I prefer to take the western 49D bypass off of 57.
  19. .... unless of course you just LOVE sunny, dry and balmy weather! 😄
  20. This thread has certainly wandered a thousand miles from the original title. Not uncommon but....
  21. In the last 5 years I have had laparoscopic hernia repair surgery with mesh in the USA, both Inguinal and groin. Outpatient surgery. Certainly back to par in a week. Is this... laparoscopic surgery.... common in GDL or Lakeside?
  22. That will work in the 'summer' but short days make difficult (arrive by nightfall) in the throes of winter. Bojackson are you aware that there is a 'new' western cuota "bypass' around SLP? 49D. Easier/better than the way 'we used to go'.
