blankletmusic
Can only find it on Mercado Libre, but very pricey. Is it available locally?

Ferret
Just an fyi. There are many brands of coconut oil available in both Gourmet Garage and SuperLake. The only thing you should be really concerned with is that it's virgin and cold pressed. YMMV.

AndyPanda
It's going to be a LOT more than that, based on a quick review of prices on Amazon Mexico. I only buy a small jar at a time at SuperLake or WalMart, and it is much more costly. https://www.amazon.com.mx/s?k=virgin+coconut+oil&__mk_es_MX=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&ref=nb_sb_noss_1

Mercado Libre has the cheapest pricing for that size... https://www.google.com.mx/search?source=hp&ei=ycdGYPDFJoSYsAXogqO4Ag&iflsig=AINFCbYAAAAAYEbV2fHlIVqUMMTVOtA3AZ3fJqjV8G9Y&q=nutiva+aceite+de+coco&oq=Nutiva+&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAEYADICCAAyAggAMgIIADICCAAyAggAMgIIADICCAAyAggAMgIIADICCAA6AgguOggILhDHARCjAjoICC4QxwEQrwE6BAgAEApQ7BNYgzJg_m5oAXAAeACAAWiIAZQFkgEDNy4xmAEAoAEBqgEHZ3dzLXdpeg&sclient=gws-wiz
AndyPanda
You may have accidentally provided the search page. Here is the mercadolibre page. https://listado.mercadolibre.com.mx/aceite-de-coco-nutiva Size definitely matters.
Ferret
I did not accidentally provide the search page. I did it purposefully so the OP could see ALL of the information and pick what works best for them price wise, size wise and ordering ease.
AndyPanda
Okay, just trying to help. You specifically mentioned MercadoLibre, then showed a Google search page. My bad.

The price is really high and with delivery charges it's out of sight--between 539p and over 1000p for the exact same thing. I've noticed a lot of products that come through US companies has risen, anyone else make this observation?
AndyPanda
I saw a report recently on how massively screwed the container import/export business is now. Not enough containers for the massive upswing in online ordering; not enough workers due to covid restrictions; not enough room in various ports worldwide to offload; difficulty in manufacturing new containers; lack of crew to actually move the ships. So if the US can't get stuff we normally import: shortages and high prices. And it sounds like the problems are just beginning.
blankletmusic
The average price for a 54 oz. container of the Nutiva virgin oil comes out to around 60 USD on Mercado Libre if my math is correct. They can be had for about 20 USD on eBay in the US. The cost of imported products coupled with the effects of the pandemic, I suppose. Nutiva is arguably one of the best but at that price an alternative would need to be seriously considered.
AndyPanda
Not sure where you are seeing that price; not on the link I posted anyway. $539 pesos for a 3.7 litre / 126 oz container. That's about $25 US for much more than 54oz.
