kbleitch
You can order a bone-in ham from Tony's, but I'd get there tomorrow to do it! We have in the past and it was one of the best I've had ever!
Justathought
One time I was able to purchase a 2 pound Chunk of ham from walmart's deli. Worked out pretty well
ComputerGuy
Cynthia Ornelas, who runs the CostCo purchase/delivery service here, tells me she hasn't seen holiday OR spiral hams at CostCo lately.
tomgates
Tony's has the best ham I have ever had. Oven 300 deg F. Score ham crosshatch. Bake 2 hrs. Raise temp to 350. Cloves in crosshatch intersections. Baste ( 1/3 ea dijon mustard, brown sugar and orange marmalade ) every 20 minutes for 90 more minutes.
ComputerGuy
Bought some extra-thick chops from Cesar yesterday, and he just laughed when I wondered out loud if it was too late to order a ham...

ComputerGuy
For those who don't eat pork in their religion, and this time of year is holy, so putting the two together is vaguely ironic.
Xena
Since Jesus was a Jew I would consider it ironic that people eat pork to celebrate him.

Easter is a Christian holiday, not a Jewish holiday. Jews do not celebrate Easter. This time of year is holy for Christians.

El Saltos
Ahem, Passover came first by several centuries! From Wikipedia: Easter is linked to the Jewish Passover by much of its symbolism, as well as by its position in the calendar. In many languages, the words for "Easter" and "Passover" are identical or very similar.[11]

RVGRINGO
Bunnies, eggs, flowers, pretty dresses, chocolate, rolling on lawns.....! It is a fertility festival! After all, it is just 9 months until Christmas, isn‘t it? Did young Mary go to such a festival and meet Panther, of the 10th Legion, and roll in the grass? Did her mother fear that Mary would be stoned to death when she “showed“, and marry her off to an older, somewhat ugly, single guy passing through? Just rumors, of course.
