Natasha Posted November 19, 2014 Report Share Posted November 19, 2014 In previous years I've found 5 - 6 kg birds (always frozen, unfortunately) at El Torito, WalMart, and what is now Puritan Poultry near Spencer's Car lot. All were imported. Can't say any one was better or worse than any other. Not really pleased with any of them! FYI this year (and last) going with biggest fresh roasting chicken I can find. No, it won't be turkey, but it will taste better than any of the frozen birds did, and you can get some really BIG ones (for a chicken). eg Last week in tianguis in Ajijic I bought a 2.8 kg chicken, and that was with no giblets, neck, extra glob of fat, etc!
