ritchie
I was reading gitner68's comment about shooting horse thief's. It breaks my heart the way the animals are treated here. We fed and gave water to a mare and colt (with a broken leg) year before last in Rancho del Oro. Gudrun saved them.........she is an angel. Now there is a little dog tied to a tree in a vacant lot (farmers do come and go there) (Rio Chamela & the Carretera) and he/she is so skinny that I cannot walk by there anymore. All you see is ears and bones. I want to climb the fence and free the dog but it does not belong to me. I pray for the dog every night. Horrible condition for mexican animals. camillenparadise
Agreed. The single worst thing about living in Mexico. Can you get some food to the poor thing?
RVGRINGO
There are anti-cruelty laws. So, you might be able to get the police to go to that lot with you. They might be able to do something.
Cookie
Could you use a telephoto lens and get nice close up shot to show the police?
elehne1
Maybe Gudrun can help or Pepe, the vet? Heartbreaking...
Yo1
Last year anti-cruelty laws were passed that makes it illegal to leave a dog without shelter or food/water.
HarryB
With the police along we have climbed fences and gone in to rescue animals. These were two left abandoned when renters left. A young Mexican had been getting them food and water. So you can save this poor dog. Maybe first try to talk to whoever shows up occasionally.
