J.Miller
I bought a Kodak printer at Wal-Mart a couple of years ago. Every time that I have needed an ink cartridge, they have only been in stock about fifty percent of the time. I have now been out of black ink for two weeks and have made several trips into Wal-Mart for a replacement. Yesterday when, once again, they did not have a cartridge I asked the few clerks who were standing around at the desk if they were ever going to get a new stock of Kodak cartridges. They said no. They suggested Soriana's but as I had just passed there on my way from Xlauhacaun (sp?) towards home, Roca Azul, I did not want to turn around and go back to Soriana's on the off chance that they carry the cartridges. It is very irritating because I bought the printer at Wal-Mart assuming that since they sold it they would stock the cartridges -- I know. Never assume. Does anyone know where I can find ink cartridges for a Kodak - ESP-3 All in One Printer? I am hoping to avoid a trip to Guadalajara.
jkgourmet
I can't help you find the cartridge, but Kodak has filed for bankruptcy. In 2012, they announced that they were going to stop making printers, but would continue to make the cartridges for "several years." Eventually, you'll be unable to find replacement cartridges anywhere. http://www.pcworld.com/article/2011054/kodak-printers-are-gone-but-the-ink-sells-on.html (note this article is from October, 2012.) J.Miller
Hmmm Well that's interesting and aybe explains a lot. I hadn't realized that Kodak was in trouble. Maybe I should go on-line and try to buy cartridges and have them shipped to my sister in Canada who will be visiting at the end of March.
MtnMama
Miguel at Benno's Computing in Ajijic is in the process of stocking ink cartridges. Contact him and see if the Kodak cartridges are available and if he can bring them from Guad.

sm1mex
If Benno's ink supplier has your cartridges, they can get it for you. If they have to go looking for it in Guad it would be 250 extra pesos to drive around to find it. They have some HP cartridges and I think as time goes by and they know what their customers are looking for, they will have more inventory for lakeside. We just had our pc in there to be cleaned out and other things and I was very impressed with the 2 new IT specialists, Justin and Xander. They are very sharp men. Little Feather
If I could suggest going on Ebay and finding your printer cartridges there, they will probably be much cheaper. Only thing is you'd have to have them sent to someone stateside and have that person bring them down for you to avoid the high customs charges. My husband also has a Kodak printer and purchased it at Walmart. Most of the time Walmart didn't have the cartridges, as you have experienced. He found what he needed on Ebay at an excellent price, had it shipped to a friend who carried them down for him a few months later.
sm1mex
Yes. That is the way to go if you have a friend that travels to and returns from the U.S every so often to Mexico and has the room for things we need.. A lot of us don't know that many people that go to the U.S. driving and have room for things we need to come bring back to us. There used to be a man that did this but he no longer does this service for a small fee.. If anyone knows of a person that can bring back a few small things sent to an address in the U.S. it would help us down here.
J.Miller
Thanks everyone for the suggestions; I think I will look on Ebay or Amazon.
Jeanneb2000
Thanks everyone for the suggestions; I think I will look on Ebay or Amazon. While you can usually find anything @ Amazon, the shipping cost is astronomical. When I first moved here, I needed/wanted a small item so ordered it from Amazon. The item cost 7.95 USD and the shipping was over $35.00. Never again I also sent you a PM.
