Payment- car registration and property taxes
ibarra replied to ibarra's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
I live very close to Chapala so no "sitting in traffic ". We prefer paying in cash at the actual offices for these 2 yearly obligations. I made the post for those that actually find the information useful as they, too, prefer going in person to pay. -
Sounds like you should apply for the job of supervisor.

FYI. I paid both of the referenced items this morning in Chapala. I was at dmv on Degollado by 8:30 this morning and it took 15 minutes to pay with 8 people in front of me. I left there and went to palacio to pay property taxes. 12 people in front of me and it took 20 minutes to pay. Both tasks completed and home in one hour.

Bus Tracking App for Chapala Area - Need your inputs!
ibarra replied to tkessler2's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
I am not opposed to a bus tracking app. I am opposed to the public having to pay for it, even a small portion of the cost. If the public pays to generate an app, who pays to maintain service after the initial investment? If the app isn't supported by users signing up for it, then what? IMO We would be back at square one. Posted times of schedules makes a little more sense to me. -

IMO A printed schedule here would be as valuable as the paper it is printed on. Locals live on EVENT time not CLOCK time. example: The bus is coming soon I need to go get in line. Not - what time is it? I need to go catch the bus. -

And you think an app would stop the long lines? Jajaja Perhaps the long lines reflect the amount of people that live in the area of the bus stop. -
Phone and location of Gabriel Garcia M.D

An internet search using his name revealed: 333 841 0653 and this 333 368 1915 FYI We haven't had to use 045 for at least a year, maybe longer. Just dial the 10 digits. -

Do you actually have a membership? What is it about the trash bags that has you buying them there, if you don't mind telling me?

So when is the correct day?

Sunshineydays - I know there are real problems to deal with but, some days you just have to vent. Don't get me started on Sorianos vs Soriana.

I don't really think Catastro care how much research you have put into the design of your project. They simply care if you have covered a patio or not.

I just looked at the questionnaire and find it curious that they want to know how much we would be willing to donate to create an app and how much we would be willing to have that app put on our phones. No thank you! -
704 if you didn't get an emission test in 2022. But you would know that if you checked the website provided in other posts. Here it is again to verify that you owe 631 or 704: https://gobiernoenlinea1.jalisco.gob.mx/serviciosVehiculares/adeudos?

Maryanna, the person "who runs Chapala reporter" has been reported on by this board for many years. None of the posts are positive that I can remember. IMHO Stick with Guadalajara Reporter as you have a much better chance for accurate information.

We have had a lot of replies to posts that are 2 - 4 years old lately. I personally would like to see new posts started on these subjects and perhaps refer to the old posts. Too many changes during those years and, all of the information may not still be valid.

IMHO Use the website provided and see if your property size increased from last year. If no, and you still want an answer, contact an attorney or, better yet, contact Catastro. You can go to Catastro and ask a hypothetical question without revealing your address. I would go to the office behind where you pay and ask there. There is at least one person in that office that speaks English if you need it. I can't remember his name though.

Need Specifics to Pay Maid's Social Security (IMSS)
ibarra replied to JKL's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
If a person works for 10 different employers per month, it doesn't make sense that all 10 must provide IMSS for this worker. How would the IMSS police (jaja) even know what employer isn't providing IMSS? I don't believe the workers actually record the employer's names when they file taxes, only income amount. What if the worker is included in a family IMSS plan, like a wife included on her husbands plan? As usual, more questions than answers regarding legislation. -

Lost my dog yesterday ajijic area
ibarra replied to Alejandrito928's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
Sometimes people drop off dogs they have found at vet clinics. You may try calling or going to a couple of them. I would call the Ranch and Lucky Dog too to see if he was dropped off. -
With Permanente status you don't have to pay every year to renew.
