  1. Ya mean Smart? You are such fun to play with...not.
  2. Just keep jumping to conclusions and, eventually, you'll wear yourself out.
  3. He doesn't lie. If you didn't see the computer and try it out then you can't judge and you have no idea what else was in it.
  4. LOL. CG is not interested in selling anything. He always arrives with a router that he knows works to make sure that the router that you're using isn't the problem. There's absolutely no point telling someone that their router is the problem without proving it. Then he takes his router home with him to live and test another day.
  5. Call Roberto at Chapala Tree Services 762-0602 or 331-411-0242
  6. I just took a look at my contract. They only have my landline shown yet, on the application, I gave them my cell phone and e-mail address too. Anyone who has not been connected yet may want to go into the office and make sure they have all contact information. In this day and age, e-mail would work far better for communication to determine if the resident is here or not. I'm not saying that the info is not in their database but it should have been on the contract as well. No contact e-mail for them was given to "inform" them that you'd be leaving for the season or on vacation or ?. Hiccups.
  7. You're getting way too personal, as usual. It would be extremely helpful, on this forum, if you actually had something that was of help... to someone, anyone. Buhbye little insecure man.
  8. You should learn to sew. I can do all things female and most things male. Most of all I use my brain.
  9. You really ought to do some research before you post. https://www.iloxtelecom.com/ iLox is doing us a FAVOR by coming here and Tom Kessler, who lives here, helped to convince them.
  10. On the other hand, how long have people waited for Telmex to a) fix their lines (even though the number of repair trucks is HUGE) b) install a line c) wait in the office with all the other people for help from an office clerk d) wait for a refund for service not received when paid for.... ooops scratch that last one because Telmex NEVER gives credit for service not received. I'm patiently waiting for iLox to get to Riberas. There was an incredible amount of infrastructure needed to even start this project. I'm very happy that there is an excellent alternative to Telmex. Now, I will add that I've been with Telmex for 23 years in various states in Mexico. It is ONLY this office in Ajijic with which I've had a problem. I'm done and have no more patience for Telmex.
  11. Thanks Rony but I'm not taking any chances. Granted that my girl ate about 0.5 ml. of concentrated cannabis oil with THC (it was the plastic syringe that she wanted) but she was in the Vet's for two days on a drip detox solution. Scared the hell out of me and I had her at Ladron's clinic within a half an hour. The oil is now kept in the top drawer of a 5 drawer bureau. Be warned.
  12. Do NOT give your dog anything that has ANY THC in it. THC is toxic to a dog's kidneys. ONLY use CBD made from HEMP.
  13. More than half the posts in this thread are less than a month old. I would imagine that people are still going deaf and need help.
  14. My apologies ezpz!!! The correct phone number is 766-0190 …. and I phoned it to confirm!
  15. I bought a used Samsung Galaxy S4 from a friend for 1,000 pesos. Plan came via Ana Romero and I pay monthly (299 pesos) to Telcel at the 711 by downloading and printing my bill at Mitelcel. The Samsung is still working just fine after a year. I use it for calls and as a hotspot when Telmex is down. It's all I need.
  16. I would think so, yes. I am sitting on my porch in the shade... no fan. The temperature in my house is 21 C. and the humidity is 52% right now.
  17. Let me guess... the Telcel store that you were dealing with is next to a second hand store. I also bought a phone from them that died. Avoid. Period. The one around the corner from them (beside Alex' Restaurant and opposite Chopsticks Restaurant) is the place to go. Ana Romero is impeccably honest and I highly recommend her. She even tried to fix the dud that the other place sold me.
  18. Sorry. That's the closest one to you. https://www.google.com.mx/search?q=notaries+in+ajijic+mexico&npsic=0&rflfq=1&rlha=0&rllag=20293725,-103215796,2232&tbm=lcl&ved=2ahUKEwj_y5OoyKXhAhVLiqwKHVq2AKEQjGp6BAgKEB4&tbs=lrf:!3sIAE,lf:1,lf_ui:2&rldoc=1
  19. Lots of info but not what the OP was looking for. The closest to Ajijic is Notary #2 in San Antonio. He is located one block up (mountain side) from the carretera opposite the Sunrise Restaurant. There are green awnings all along the front of that plaza.... if you are coming from the west and you see those awnings turn left just before them. Luis Enrique Ramos Bustillo 765-5071 . The phone will be answered in Spanish but nearly everyone in that office speaks English even the receptionist. Phone and ask your questions.
  20. Yes those months are hot. But, they are also dry and dusty and, with no humidity, all you need to do is to find some shade and it's very comfortable. Once the rains start (and it usually only rains at night), it also cools things down considerably even though there's more humidity.
  21. Not necessarily and don't assume the worst. Just go in with the tenant and all the documents and get it changed into your name.
  22. If you are referring to the sale of a home and putting it in the new owner's name then this was my experience three years ago. Both parties go to CFE with their identification (passports and immigration status) along with the closing documents on the house and a time stamped PHOTO of the current meter reading. Name transfer takes place easily and without exchange of cash. Couldn't have been easier.
  23. I agree with all of the above answers and I've lived full time in Mexico for 23 years come May 1st. How Bill Dahl became such an expert in a two week visit is amazing. There is an underbelly of crime in every city in the world and most people go about their lives totally unaware of it. It is no different here.
  24. Hey Mark Webles, if you want to stick with crappy internet service and crappy customer service from Telmex, be my guest. I'm sick of them.
