Just a few days ago several friends were discussing what they had to do to get their Drivers Licenses in Guadalajara because they understood the Chapala offices were then closed. Floradude Posted December 1, 2015 Report Share Posted December 1, 2015 I am very skeptical. We hear this rumor every month or so; however I certainly hope it is true. I went for my drivers license renewal to Guadalajara in early November. Prior to that I went to the Recaudadora office in Chapala to pay for the license. At that time I asked about the license office in Chapala. They replied that it was closed indefinitely. Who knows....maybe indefinitely is over.
