jrm30655 Posted January 30, 2014 Report Share Posted January 30, 2014 Go to one of the hardware stores and tell them you want 1/2" flexible water pipe and fittings that put them together. Cut the pipe to the desired length and put the ends together. Generally, you can only get the pipe in black but you can paint it any color you want. You get a small flat spot where you join them but you can cut the fittings down (they are double ended nipples) and get rid of most of the flat spot. Add a little glue to keep them together. Wipe them down with methyl alcohol or MEK and paint will stick but not great. Buy a quick dry spray paint and it will work well enough unless you want to actually hoola with them. My grandson saw one on TV years ago and wanted one for his birthday and of course they were no longer available so I had to make one.......
