gary c. Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Open for about a month now, there's a great little restaurant that you might want to try out. El Sazon de la Abuela. It's open Monday- Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Dogs are welcomed! There really isn't a name on the restaurant, but it's to the right of Estilizame in the photo below. The menu is pretty basic - sandwiches, tacos, quesadillas, chiliquilles, molletes, etc. Tacos are 7 pesos each (Gary says beware of the green salsa ... hot! and delicious). Sandwiches are between 17 and 20 pesos. Each day there is a special ... 35 pesos for the meal (fish is 40 pesos). Today I had the ham and bean soup. It was really good. She will do take-out orders, too. She has a side business -- she'll come to your event and make tortillas by hand and more. Her phone number is 331 154 7908 (cell) or 765-7806 (land). Great family business. It's next door to the new beauty shop, that's also really good.
Mainecoons Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 For those of us who don't know San Antonio, could you provide more directions? Thanks.
Tom Leonard Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Coming from Wal-mart heading towards Chapala you pass the Coca Cola 'Deposito' on your right and at the very first stoplight you turn left . Papeleria Trinidad is on the corner on your left hand side. You drive up that street towards El Parque and about 30 mts up you'll find this restaurant on your right hand side.
ericurmudgeon Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Could not agree more with the positive comments. This place is clean inexpensive and friendly. Very good value and fresh, tasty food. Giant glass of freshly squeezed oj 13 pesos.
Mainecoons Posted December 17, 2011 Report Posted December 17, 2011 Thank you. Sounds like we need to give it a try. Nice picture BTW.
