kimanjome
Perhaps someone who knows more can answer: I have read online AND been told by the Guad Yamaha dealership that golf carts CAN be street legal, but they have to be equipped with headlights, brakelights, seat belts, side mirrors, directionals, and the ability to go the equivalent of 25 mph. Gas golf carts can do this. I don't know the traffic laws here regarding UTVs/ATVs, but in SMA they are street legal if they fulfill all requirements, above. Some of the ATVs in SMA are designed to handle 4 pax. The only reason there are no plated golfcarts on the road in SMA is because they can't make it up the steep hills.
