secheltsally
Coming back to Ajijic in October!! Last trip was working holiday as had to get my place in the village painted so it was work, work work....but this trip is all about relaxing and getting to know the village. And enjoying my pool and spoiling myself. Need advice on best place in village (I'm on Nicolas Bravo) for pedi/mani's and facials. Maybe some yoga? I have 3 months and really need/want some self-improvement and relaxation. Any advice so appreciated...
PECANS
Whenever I need a really good deep cleansing, exfoliation and moisturizing facial by a highly trained and competent facialist, it's Connie Kimmett hands-down. Her techniques are flawless as are her products. I have gone to her for eight years and she is easily the most qualified esthetician I've ever enountered. Just Google "connie Kimmett, ajijic" and you will get her address and telephone. For very good manicure and pedicures, I go to Greco Salon. Their prices are more than competitive. They now have the CND shellac machine and all nail colors. If you want a regular manicure and pedicure, they can also do that. On pedicures, at other times when you go to a salon that specializes in shellac pedicures, the preparation for the pedicure is minimal. Just as they did at Edith's, the pedicure preparation is at least 30-45 minutes. They are right across from LCS to the west in the next block on the right. The building is green and appointments are easy to get. They also complete depilacion, and eyebrow and eyelash tints.

thevalerieleigh
LOVE Angie at Total Body Care for a Facial, Joyce for a mani/pedi (including a mini massage) and Alex at Total Body Care. Guess you can say I'm a TBC Fan. Have used Angie, Alex and Joyce for many years. I really like the relaxing massage/facial/mani/pedi on the massage table and all the extras thrown in to make me feel extra special and quite relaxed. They do a wonderful job at a fair price! Little Feather
Connie also does manicures and pedicures. Before I went to see her, I had trouble with ingrown big toenails from getting this service at another salon. She is more expensive than other places, but ingrown toenails is NOT something that I enjoyed as a byproduct..... I highly recommend her!

sydgirl
I've used Andie at Total Body Care for pedis and massages and have been happy. For yoga, I'd suggest getting to Anna's new Drishti Center in San Antonio. She offers a great variety of classes. I've heard good things about her other instructors, but haven't tried them yet. Too happy with Anna.
