J.Miller
Can anyone tell me what is scheduled for Ajijic this weekend? My sister is visiting and the last time they were here at Easter they attended a passion play which I believe began at one of the churches in Ajijic and ended up part way up a mountain where there was a re-enactment of the Crucifixion. They would like to see it again but we have know knowledge of times and location if it is being repeated this year.
jhark
Here is the link to the Guad Reporter. You already missed a big portion in Ajijic today and in San Antonio tonight but there is more tomorrow. http://theguadalajarareporter.com/news/news/lake-chapala/41817-holy-week-pageantry-brings-easter-story-to-life
LaChula
At the San Andres church, be there early to get good seats (9 am)?, sunblock and water are necessary. Around 11:30 mas o menos after the trial, the procession leaves the church, crosses past the plaza and heads to the scene of the crucifixion. The whole morning is very dramatic, and has been worked on all year. it is very special here.
