taltman711
Shaw had a "home away from home" provision in their agreement that allowed anyone with a Shaw account to receive their content anywhere that they could receive their signal. That provision was discontinued about a year or so ago, maybe a bit longer. So, when I starting using Shaw here 5 years ago, I was NOT violating my agreement with Shaw. I don't know if I was grandfathered in, but I never got a notice from Shaw or a new agreement to sign. I read about the change in a forum. By the way, though it is legal in the US or Canada to receive any signal, It IS illegal to decrypt it. In Mexico, I researched this issues a few years ago and could find no law that states that it is illegal to receive or decrypt signals from other countries. Mexico doesn't seem to care about the non-Mexican stuff. Tim
