bojackson
My Residente Temporal expires in August and I want to convert to Permanente. Is it still necessary to provide the proof of finances going from Temporal to Permanente? I would have no problem meeting the financial requirements. Also I am currently out of Mexico but will be returning in early May. I will be leaving for Thailand the middle of June for a few months before returning to Mexico. Can I get the conversion done in one month?
Mostlylost
Normally the conversion can be done in one month if everything is done correctly. If not you can get a letter allowing you to leave and return while the change is being processed. Be sure to start the process before you get here so you can go the immigration office the next day after arrival. https://www.gob.mx/tramites/ficha/cambio-de-residente-temporal-a-residente-permanente/INM823 https://www.inm.gob.mx/mpublic/publico/inm-tramites.html?a=thgeGuQHx2k%3D&tr=aMGJUsAf0Tk%3D&h_sdp00=giUnJ9XgtISVcdYJXduIGw%3D%3D&h_dsplp02=en
