Anyone have a generator for sale?

Donna Gillespie · ·I rarely post a request for charity unless I think the cause is a very needy one. I recently posted asking for a wheelchair for a young man who had been in a motorcycle accident and as a result he became a quadriplegic. I was wrong. He does have use of his arms. Since the previous post myself and my good friend Dr Juan Carlos Zavala have had a closer look at this young man’s life. We have asked the family for permission to post pictures of him and his families living conditions. Their home is rudimentary at best. The floors are earthen, bumpy and uneven which makes movement in his older wheelchair near impossible. In order for this young man to have a shower he has to be carried to the bathroom which is quite a distance from his room. His sister travels daily to the home in order to assist with his shower. This is a back breaking task. In spite of the 72 year old father working every job he can find he is only able to provide the basic necessities of life and unfortunately sometimes not even those The young man needs to use diapers but the family can not afford to buy them so a shower at least once a day is mandatory. After seeing their home we noted that there is an empty room beside this young man’s bedroom. It would be a perfect space to install a shower and a sink and would make life so much easier for this deserving family. Several generous members of our community have already stepped forward with donationsHope Wiley 1000Jim and Weezy Burgess 1000Donna & John Gillespie 2000Kelly Sorokolit 2500Dr Juan Carlos Zavala has gifted 10000 from his charity organization for the purchase of diapers This may seem like a lot but it will be set aside to buy diapers for years to comeOur hope is to raise 25000 -30000 pesos to build a bathroom and to cement the floors of the home including a wheelchair ramp. Please dig deep into your hearts and your pockets. Please try to help to the best of your abilities. Any amount of donation will be greatly appreciated.Donations can be dropped off at the veterinary office of Dr Zavala at Javier Mina #38 Ajijic from 10-1 Monday to Friday. I've been asked to try to find a walker for a poor Mexican member of our community. I believe that they are looking for one with a seat and on wheels. Please PM me if you can help.

Two suggestions. We have a shower sprayer with a 6 foot hose purchased at Casa de Plomero. (Carretera, west Ajijic, mountain side)
Groomer Joel 3767663062 across from Ajijic Panteon Vet who would rather groom very reasonable
Sign on ground #500 , drive in back, ring bell

We discussed Have Hammers and thought the material cost would still be excessive for our donors and we could then only provide fewer mattresses. They have been very generous in helping us out in the past and we were reluctant to ask them again.

Manix will have them on fridays , I believe. They use a more elegant 35 year old family formula. 3310650725 to check and reservations

The guy next to Moms would build a pretty strong base for a discounted 2200p
-
No, we decided to give up asking. It is just a waste of time. Hopefully Dale Palfrey will do an article and embarasse them into helping. The bases were too expensive for us to afford.

Thanks again to the above donors. Yesterday on Bombero Day we delivered 8 pillow top mattresses to the Firehouse on the Libramiento.

Also Ajijic is;The delegation that contributes the most to the Municipality in payments of Predial, Municipal Licenses, for commercial turns, urbanization licenses, payment of property tax at the time of selling or buying a house, payment of water supply and sewerage do that represents about 14 million per year pesos just for that concept. Ajijic is the hen of the golden eggs. But it does not have direct investment or 5 percent of what it brings to the Municipality in the above mentioned concepts, Ajijic has serious problems such as Drainage and Sewerage which is collapsed and many times goes directly to the lake without being properly treated that water, just by mention something.Ajijic is the magic of Chapala Lake Bank but only outward, inward only problems of services and mismanagement of public resource. That data was published some time ago and that same data was used in a campaign, about the 14 million resource seized by Simapa the water regulator body in the municipality. Only as true fact, nothing made up, obtained through the Transparency Unit.

Sadly, the problem isn't techs. It is parts. I have been waiting 2 months for a fan from HP authorized repair, Guadalajara..

I missed thanking Louis Q for his donation to the bombero bed effort. My apologies! These folks have come forward to help people we depend on every day. We are now ready to ask the municipality for their match. The community has done its part now the government should help!

Thank you to Mary M for getting us closer to our Bombero bed goal. We are checking all local suppliers for the best price for a medium quality bed!

Contact the Expat Liaison at the municipal offices. If everyone went with the que sera sera there would still be sewage running down the center of the streets. I am with Ibarra. The voice of the people is heard when it is loud enough!
