There are people who have gone down to Guatemala to renew a truck TIP and they were not allowed back into Mexico with their vehicle. The vehicle maximum load capacity was over 3.5 tons. One woman is there now. Last month another person took 5 days to resolve the issue while sitting at souther border and finally she was able to hire a Mexican national to drive her vehicle to Texas and paid to fly him back as per Aduana. What also happens when you eneter Guatamela and then try to enter Mexico but can not, Guatamela has a rule saying no re-entry for 90 days meaning your vehicle is stuck at the border.
