Brisa Del Mar Posted July 11, 2015 Report Share Posted July 11, 2015 We are in the process of applying for temporary residency so we have been issued a temporary 30 day visa. During the application process for an on-line TIP they say you have to request a pre-authorization to enter Mexico and that number is required during the TIP application process. When we put the number in from temporary visa we have been issued it doesn't work so we're thinking we need to request the pre-authorization even though we already have a temporary visa. We don't want to mess things up so we're hoping someone out there has experience with this situation. Should we request the pre-authorization which indicates we are tourists or just forget the on-line TIP and wait until we get to the border? HELP!! RVGRINGO Posted July 11, 2015 Report Share Posted July 11, 2015 Never use the “tourist“ term, as it can ruin your application or, later, even invalidate your visa.
