We always tip the driver. 39 pesos per trip does not a living make.

Is Spencer's office open during the holidays?
I’ve tried calling several times but no answer.
thanks.

Firstly, all pharmacies in Ajijic are out of stock of Ativan. Lots of drugs are out of stock.
secondly, Ativan costs 5 times or more in Mexico than Canada.

Did I read somewhere that the Chapala office closed last week and Guad was the nearest site?
Thanks to all for your help. This webboard is such a fantastic resource.

I seem to recall that the government offices in Chápala close early for the holidays and reopen in January.
Do you know the dates and does this apply to Drivers Licence testing?
Do I need an appointment to take the test?
i am over 70 years old and have a valid Canadian licence so I believe I only need to do the written test.
Is that still true?
Thanks in advance

Do you have to get your licence plates (Jalisco) yourself or is there a reliable service that will take your paperwork to Chapala and get the sticker for you?
We are self isolating Due to our Co-morbitidies And prefer not to go ourselves.
what are their hours (on Degollado)
thanks. -
And where is the new office located, please?

Thank you all.
So I assume if I have no Mexico income (except for some small funds from which they withhold ISR tax monthly) I do not have to bother wit this.
Thanks in advance

I’ve received an email today inviting me to open a Buzon Tributario.
it looks official. Can anyone tell me what this is? Are all expats now required to get one?or is this some kind of marketing message.
thanks

If you show them a valid license from elsewhere you do not have to take the driving test, just the written test.
Go here to print your CURP https://www.gob.mx/curp/
Thank you. It worked great for me.

Yes for a lot of things and it is no loner a card that fits in your wallet but is a form in colour.
Thank you for your help.
I found the online form at https://www.gob.mx/curp/
You just put in the CURP number that appears on your Immigrante card and it produces a PDF file that you can download.
Very helpful.

Normally an original CURP is required and it is in color now. Old style CURP is not accepted. Looks like Chapala is being flexible right now.
Some govt offices are not flexible and will require a color original. Always best to print an original in color if you can, just in case.
Is there a separate card for CURP?
My CURP number is printed on my Immigrante Permanente card.
Also, my RFC certificate has my CURP number on it as well as my RFD number.
I do NOT have a separate CURP card.
IS it necessary to have one?

Fresh baked Rye bread can be purchased at Emma's - about 100 yards north of the LCS main entrance.
They will also deliver ion Monday and Thursdays if you order the day before.
Sometimes it's still warm when it arrives.
They also make and deliver great bagels, - plain, poppy seed, sesame seed and everything (including garlic and salt).

I removed it. You should have looked when it was there.
Hi. I am new here and did not see your complete installation. Would you mind please reposting?

My wife and I both renewed our licenses last week and submitted all black and white copies.
Did you have to take the drivers test?

Ditto to Artsnob.
My only problem happened on my first anniversary when they cut off my account. I called them and was told the account expired yesterday. I gave them my credit card number and was back in business 20 minutes later.

I took a atrás and Finastride for many years before my TURP which solved my problem permanently. Your mileage may vary.

He has taken over from his father, Carlos, both of whom have serviced our needs these past 15 years. All round great appliance repairmen.

I had read that the Chapala office had closed March 23 and you had to go to Guadalajara. I did not know it had re-opened. Thanks all.

Since the office in Chapala is closed and we have to go to Guadalajara by appointment only, is there anyone doing this as a service similar to the folks who do driving licenses?
Thanks
