Might I suggest they also evaluate the adherence to the driving laws here at Lakeside. Motorcycles. Red Lights. No Left Turns, etc.

Still raining lightly at my house this AM in Upper Ajijic. It was a major storm...just like during the rainy season. The worst part was not having electricity with the 100% humidity. Talk about sweating....

I think you can still get the vaccine at the ISS located at 6 Corners in Ajijic. You have to live in the area--probably Ajijic. It is free.

I have also banked with Intercam for many years. I have my Social Security automatically deposited into my account at the first of the month. It is an easy way of getting pesos into my account. It comes in at full value. Once you get your Debit card you have three Intercam ATM machines in Ajijic that you can use. The old bank is my favorite because I feel at home there. I do use the new bank on occasion. The new bank has more spaces but they are now frequently filled. Also, with the gridlock traffic making a left turn into the lot is not pleasant. Anyway, I think Intercam is good choice.

I’m just back from walking the Malecón. At 8.30 am they’re doing a terrific clean up… garbage trucks, men with garbage bags on the lake front. Quite impressive.
Nice that families can get out of the city in expensively for a bit on their annual holiday.It sounds as if this was an organized event. This was the Ajijic malecon-

Natasha, I agree with you about the Walmart paper. Especially the Scribe , Edologico paper. I have never seen six types for sale, maybe two.

After 20 years I have tried to live with it, knowing that SIMAPA cannot always meet our needs. Old equipment, pumps breaking, old pipes breaking, problems with the wells. Frustrating to say the least. Let's clear more land, and build more developments so more and more can come and stress the roads, and the electrical grid. Drill more wells....it all comes from the same aquifer. Where is the money to pay for all this?

Same problem in Upper Ajijic.
Saturday night my water started coming into the aljibe. It remains to be seen if this will continue on a normal basis. My large aljibe is currently 1/2 full.

It takes months to get a passport in the US; two weeks here when I did it a few months ago.

Stick with the man across from Mannix. After 20 years here he is the best I have seen. You now renew your Passport on line.

If I buy three boxes of my Thyroid medication I get a fourth box free at Walmart.

I just got in after several days. I deleted my sign-in for many, many years and got in through this link that a neighbor sent me.
Not sure what it is but it worked. Now I am afraid to get rid of it.

When US tax time comes each year, and I am waiting for documents from the US, I always go to the post office in Chapala and there they are.
So, if you are expecting something it would not hurt to go check. The man in the post office is the same man who what in our post office in Ajijic for many years.
