i5 (in the old lingo) is more than most of us need so don't waste your money. https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/intel-core-i5-vs-i7/

I'm still using a laptop with a mid range i5 bought in 2016. The only change I made was having a solid state hard drive put in to replace the old one. Cheapest upgrade ever at 1200 pesos and the laptop is working better than when it was new. I am not a gamer (unless you count cribbage ;) but I do stream tv and it has made a big difference to me.

Respectfully Amiga; I'm in Rick's camp. Regardless the processor, a SSD (solid state drive), boots up amazingly fast, compared to the older style HDD drives, however there is always a tradeoff in life:

Boot-up with a SSD still amazes me, but it isn't a result of the cpu speed.

Well, actually not. The myth of the flat earth is a historical misconsecption that European scholars and educated people during the Middle Ages believed the Earth to be flat. 5th Century BC Greek scholars... the scientists of the time... were calculating the circumference of the earth. Belief in a flat earth among educated Europeans was almost nonexistent in the Middle Ages.

The 'flat earth' notion became prevalent much later.... in the late 1800s... by Protestants to argue against Catholic teachings. "No educated person in the history of the Western Civilization from the 3rd Century BC believed that the Earth was flat."

Q: What do you call sad coffee?    A: Despresso.

Q: Why do they call coffee mud?    A: Because it was ground a couple of minutes ago.

Q: What's it called when you steal someone's coffee?   A: Mugging

Q: How does a tech guy drink coffee?    A: He installs Java!

Q: Where do birds go for coffee?    A: To the NESTcafe

We need a "groaned, but laughed" emoji. 🤣

Thanks Whipstock.  But if there is even a slight chance that I would lose that gamble, I would be in a very bad situation.

"Therefore we recommend that your passport, regardless of country of origin, should be valid for a minimum period of six months, however long you intend to stay to avoid any potential problems at the port of entry.

Immigration authorities at the port of entry may allow or deny entry of any person into Mexico. If you have a passport that is valid for less than six months and you intend to stay in Mexico for a short period of time —perhaps a vacation— the Immigration Officer might allow you entry, especially if you can show a return air ticket."

One other thing, I would be getting on a plane in Colorado and landing in Guadalajara on the 8th of April.  My passport expires on the 10th of April.  Would they even let me on the plane or, if so, let me through customs in Mexico?  BTW, I am a Residente Permanente in Mexico.

It is a gamble, but; As a Residente Permenente,... the Mexican gov't is VERY accommodating.

I have been there recently where there was no parking, double parking and the wait inside was over one half hour. I have never experienced that at the one by Oxxo.

Reminds me of the Yoggi Berra quote: "nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded".
