I have nothing but good things to say about HSAT. We are lucky to have them here.Of course not all the docs are great as with any place, but others that have privileges there fill the bill.

You don’t need an appointment or a user name or a password.. you just walk in with all of the required paperwork and pesos .. Unless they have changed things in the last 8 day that is, because 8 days there was no one in the place …
I was the seller and did the transfer on Monday I didn't go,the buyer did everything.

I suspended my service in September and disconnected my receivers, so I can't get on to check for you. Perhaps someone else cam check their package for you?
I get NHL on Shaw and CFL and stingray music for $99/month. My question to you was about the other things you speak of.

Dr. Gonzales,Orthopedic surgeon at HSAT did my 2 collapsed discs[sports injury] and between L5 and S1 deteriorated disks and bone spurs at the same time with epidural and I have had periodic injections of steroid in his office. My whole spine has been described as a train wreck. His ortho son there, Dr. Ross also has looked after my train wreck.

Me, too. You may want to check with your supplier or, if you are able, with Shaw directly and post here. For the last year or so, we also are using firesticks; our service on all devices is 1/4 of my monthly Shaw bill. So far, no issues, although we have changed providers 3 x, and now are pretty much buffer-free.
Do you get NHL hockey, especially Edmonton Oilers?

I don't care about such petty things and I'm astounded that someone would turn of pilot lights to save a few centavos. An on demand heater turns itself on when needed. SNORK!

Wow - so sorry i upset you on this lovely morning with my "moaning and complaining" re the cost of medicines. As it happens, I am not a wealthy expat and every expense has to be factored in to my budget. I am sorry you are on a "ton of medicines" and hope they are making you happy and healthy. I have had a lot of very helpful suggestions to my questions on this site which I thught was its purpose buti t appears that to you, a question is a complaint or a moan. I suggest if you see my name again, you just skip over it and let more patient and less snorky folks respond.
Nobody on this board can cause me to be upset but apparently you can upset yourself. My meds are to keep me alive just a bit longer but looks like my time will be up shortly with my heart failure kicking in on top of the COPD. My docs are concerned. Carry on with yer feeling sorry for yourself because you failed to do due diligence before you moved here. We are not rich expats but prepared before hand for med expenses here. because of my rapid deterioration in the last couple of years we have spent thousands and I'm not whining about it. I have helped many people on this board.

When one lives here, one pays the price for drugs here. I need a ton of them. So what if they're more expensive than somewhere else. The costs are roughly what they are for the same in Canada,in any event. Find something else to moan about unless you get off complaining about something ya can't change.-SNORK!

Yup,but since I'm gonna croak soon,I take time out for a puff or two. I don't [can't inhale]. Smoking puros ain't like smoking cigaros,in any event.

Eventually we'll want a local bank account, just to have one. It wouldn't carry much of a balance. If there's some bit of business that's easier done there, fine, but that's about it.
I'm pleased with our U.S. banking situation. We make greatest use of our 2-year old Capital One accounts (credit, debit, checking, ordinary savings), but we have accounts and cards at a handful of other U.S. credit unions and banks, as well as Wise (which carries a peso balance -- and uses our San Antonio Tlayacapan address, so its debit card appears to be Mexican usually). Xoom works well for interbank transfers, and PayPal can debit any of the other accounts so can pick up some slack (but carries no balance of its own). We also use Vanguard a lot and Schwab a little.
By "modern" I mean we never visit these institutions in person, because there's no need. Everything's online, and that's the way we like it. IOW, we don't make trips to "the bank" and won't be starting.
Within this outline of requirements, which bank with a Lakeside branch fits best, simply to check the box?
Thanks.
LQ
Absolutely amazing or more to the point unbelievable that you want even more banks and things like money sending outfits. 2 banks here,1 Canadian and 1 Mexican and I enjoy going to my bank.Kept firing the ones in Canada that became more and more teller-less. Are you the type of fernner couple I see here in restaurants playing with yer phones instead of [gasp!] talking to each other throughout the whole meal?
