Yesterday my car a/c went out so I went to EuroFreeze next to Gossips to get it repaired . As I got out of my car I tripped over a broken curb and fell HARD . Before I hit the concrete , Manuel and one of his helpers were there to help me up . Lots of blood , cuts and bruises but nothing broken . Sore as hell today . As soon as I was up and while I was trying to stop the bleeding which is no easy task since I am on blood thinners , Manuel went to the Farmacia next door and came back with bandages and other stuff to treat my wounds . He never hesitated to do this and would not take a single peso although I offered him a nice amount . Needless to say there were a lot of tacos and cokes for Manuel and his men today . Don't feel sorry for my accident because I know I need to be careful when walking in the village but rather concentrate on the great kindness shown by these guys . I am not looking for reviews of their work because that wasn't the important thing in this case .Please give them your business should the need arise . Their phone number is 331 584 5209 .

I can tell you from personal experience that 1.get a second opinion , they love to put stents in down here that may or may not be needed . 2.find another hospital or as Spencer says bring lots of money and have your lawyer on speed dial .PM me for more info if you want.

We are paying our maid full pay til this is over . I do not want her to be riding the bus during this time for all the reasons we know . I assume most of you pay about what we do so it's not a lot of money to us but it is everything to her . She has come to work ill before , nothing serious , and it's not just for her health but ours and everyone she comes in contact with . Our friends and neighbors seem to be doing the same as us . I would have a hard time respecting someone that leaves their help to take care of themselves during this uncertain time . We are working without a net here .We are not wealthy but if we can't afford a few hundred pesos , that we were spending anyway , to help these people , then maybe we shouldn't be here. Disagree if you must but if you do it says a lot about you, not because I say so but because it's the right thing to do. A lot less talk and a lot more positive action . Pay em , you'll sleep better.

Thanx suegarn I've been hear a long time but for obvious reasons I have avoided posting or responding to posts .I'm still learning , I DON'T have it all figured out. Feel free to help me when you see fit because I am no longer sitting on the sidelines.I'll try to remain civil but it will be hard after a lot of the things I have read over the years. Hope I won't be perceived as one of the mean people and get booted by the mods.

People like you are the reason I resist posting here. You completely missed the jest of the post . No one was telling you how to do anything just trying to help some deserving kid's out .Glad you think you have it all figured out , such a gift.

Wife and I had lunch at Elena's today , across from Mel's . It is mexican food , nothing more nothing less.Good food , large portions , I need a nap. Very nice people and cheerful employees .Very attentive service, checked on us often . Many selections on menu .Need to modify a menu selection , no problem. Nice replacement for the departed El Serape . Red sauce is good , green sauce is great with a bite. Plenty of seating inside and out. You may love it or you may not but they deserve a chance to serve you , give them a shot . Remember , if you don't like something doesn't mean it's wrong , just not necessarily for you. Street parking not a problem. Beer and wine available , liquor coming soon, it's mexico. 10to 10 EVERYDAY.
