I just purchased a Bosch 7 comfort on Mercado Libre. It should be delivered on Wednesday and is needed to replace a Gaxeco on demand heater where the water flow controller is blocked.

I guess its just me but reading this thread is like trying to read Chinese. As an example, I never knew that mining/trading bitcoins actually involved energy. Then again I will confess that when I retired I stopped keeping up with new technology. Anyway, good look with local mining.

I was told that there are no alcohol detox centers in the area. Does anyone know of a nurse or doctor that I can pay to come to my house and help me stop? I live in Chapala, Thanks.

The postman left a bunch of letters in the property fence where I live. One is for Vivianne R. Prive but she does not live here. I googled her address. The street exists but not the number. Its actually near where I live. The letter is from Service Canada. If no response, I will take it back to the post office by Friday. Thanks

Walmart and Soriana have it listed:
Ciel
Agua Ciel únicamente líquido 20 l
$51.50
That seems expensive. I pay 39 pesos for epura delivered directly to my home. I could also get the "local brew" for 25 pesos but I do not like the taste.

This is, unfortunately, the future. It assumes that you 1) have a cell phone 2) have a computer 3) have a credit or debit card and, gawd forbid, 4) that there's actually a wifi signal available when you need to show that ticket at the train station. No back ups to the back ups. Dumb!!!
I rent one of my apartment to some techies. They installed a smart light bulb in their bedroom. One day the wifi went down so they where left in the dark. Still not sure if its funny or sad.

Just a thought, but have you considered moving your dad to Mexico ? There a many nursing homes in the area. In 2012, my mom lived in a place called Casa Nostras. From memory it was 1,700.00 US dollars a month and my mom loved the place and the care.

On my way from the airport I see a lot of large furniture stores on the road before Jamay
I bought all of my furniture for my apartment rentals in that area. But I would consider them to be one generation furniture. When I did my permanent move to Mexico from Canada I now wish that I bough my furniture along as it was well built, comfy good looking and had been around for at least 70 years.

You are correct when you say electrical cars are not zero emissions, but some of your comments above have nothing to do with EV's. Such as AA batteries, the costs related to bake beans from field to mouth and child labor among others. In order to compare EV's to ICE cars you need to sum up the carbon footprint of each both to manufacture and to operate. I will let you do your own research but the bottom line is that EV's have a lower carbon footprint so I think that is a good start. Also, change does not happen overnight, so give it time and you will see that reducing harmful greenhouse gases is achievable. Currently, hydrogen is slowly taking over as an alternative. There is about 3 main types of hydrogen. White, green and gray. Obviously, I am interested in the green one since it is produced from renewable energy. Nikola Motors will be using grey hydrogen to start with as obviously the infrastructure is nowhere near available. For those who are not aware, Nikola FCEV truck will not be using it as a fuel but rather to produce electricity through a chemical reaction with oxygen. This electricity is then stored in batteries used to power the truck. So I will leave this to you to accept or not that a lesser carbon foot print is better then none. On a final comment, I have no children so if the world goes to hell in a hand basket, which it seems to be doing then I feel sorry for your grand children.

On a side note, have you noticed that half the world is burning and the other half is flooded. No, nothing to do with climate change.......

I never liked tesla cars. The power walls yes. I love space x but you can't buy stock in space x. And I appreciate what good he has done with Twitter 2.0. More free speech is always good. And what he has planned for x as a platform is great. I would have been all over tesla if he went hydrogen!
After I sold my tesla stock I bought shares with Nikola Motors because I believe in using green hydrogen for heavy duty trucks. Unfortunately the company got caught up in lies and the stock collapsed. But together with Bosh they plan to launch the first commercial FCEV (Fuel Cell Electrical Vehicle) in September, so I will either hit the jackpot or eat tamales 😊.

There was a Reuter news article about 2 weeks ago saying that Tesla had setup a secret department to delete customers appointments who had an issue with the low range their car was getting. Tesla's market cap has shrunk by over 300 billion dollars within the last 6 months (they are still worth over 600 billion dollars). I sold my tesla shares about 2 years ago and made a nice profit. But I now believe that Elon Musk has gone over to the dark side. That happens with people that are geniuses. Think about it, he bought Twitter for 40 billion dollars and then changed the name to "X", kind like coca cola changing their brand name to say "burp".

Tesla does not use dealers to sell their cars. Unless Mexico is different.

Some people just don’t have a clue what goes on here.
For the 16years that I’ve been here the corner of Aldama & Constitution has been one of the places dealers hang out.. They are not homeless they are dealers.. the van is there so they can conduct their business away from the prying eyes of nosy interfering gringos, the dog is there to keep nosy gringos away…
Darn, I did a google street view and could not see it. 😊

I have window 8.1 and have decided not to keep up with newer and better. 😊 (come to think of it I never carry my smart phone when I go out, life is good).

There is another article in the Informador today regarding not renewing a driver license if you have commit more the one serious infraction. Mexico and Saudi Arabia are the only 2 countries I am aware that use speed bumps as a mean to slow drivers down.
