As to some of the reasons to get Mexican citizenship. We travel to some countries that are not friendly to the USA with the Mexican Passport....Turkey is one that comes to mind where you will not be charged an excessive amount for a tourist visa. We receive ½ off all our taxes....property, water, raw and farmed land. We were not welcome to ask for and get Mexican credit cards and now we are...and there is always the right to vote and probably more things we haven't become aware of. 

My wife has been treated with exceptional warmth by people here in Jocotepec. When getting the voter card....they posed with her for a photo.

No attorney...used Spencer for translations and certifications. Had a friend go with us for voter's card and appointment for new passport.

The man with the "cleft" palate is the current director. He is a serious block to understanding Spanish....yet his english is clear. You are ABLE to request a different person for the test. His assistant, a lady with crystal clear pronunciation gave us the Spanish test after we failed the first time at his desk. Senior Heraldo did stand behind her as she asked us questions but was  polite when she declared that we were able to speak and understand her. Note...that he is retiring at the end of this year and she will replace him. 

My wife and I would most certainly NOT use him!

Why did you ever tell them you were in IMSS? Also ask for the new white book that list all services...it is in a stack near the Caja window...all in espanol.

I was at the hospital today and they have a sign, in spanish, you must bring three copies of your contract and of your id to get service from the emergency staff.

Yes,....BUT, if they want to, you might only get a one year contract and then renew for a three year period. I have taken folks in from Chapala and, without reason, some only get offered a one year. 

Remember to get your contract plastic covered as the printing can rub off and also to never expect free service without your contract in hand.

I  just helped enroll an 85 yr old in Joco...no problem. She has already got an appointment with her doctor for Tuesday.

You pay no commission....the property owner includes that fee in the rent.

in the next two months she is planning on opening an office next to HSBC in the store front that used to be mailbox etc....that would put her with a view of the lovely Walmart

We have driven to Ga four times now....we were hassled at the Laredo border some years ago so now we now cross at Pharr. We were stopped in Alabama by two morons but they let us go when they accepted that we had every right to be there.

We have a Mexican friend whose wife developed internal worms that took many months to get rid of...during that time she was not a happy camper...but this is a very free country...do as you wish....good thing the mayor of New York City has no influence here!
