Description: Dale, Dale Dale! Can be translated as "hit it, hit, go on". And it is the beginning of a ditty that we sing when we go to break a piñata. Piñatas became a Mexican tradition over time. So much so that now we see piñatas in the shape of artistic characters, politicians, famous athletes, very creative figures and of course, also the traditional ones, either for birthdays, a Mexican party or to celebrate the posadas and Christmas. We will have with us Patricia, a woman from Ajijic who makes beautiful creations with her hands. We will use clay jars and paper to create with our hands our piñata and have it ready for the posadas. Come and learn the process and join the behind-the-scene process of making a piñata. This is a 2-session class.

Description: The course will be practical and theoretical. The theoretical part will consist in a presentation about Fungi kingdom, their properties and how to grow them. In the practical part, each participant will inoculate a bucket with mycelium of oyster mushrooms, which can be taken home to cultivate their own mushrooms in a period of 20-40 days. This is because of the amount of nutrients it has as well as the chemical substances that it produces in our body, which generates feelings of joy, energy, clarity, pleasure and many more. In this workshop you will learn to identify and recognize the fruit of cocoa, study the process cocoa goes through from seed to the end result of a delicious table chocolate. Uses of the cacao husk and preparation of a rich pre-Hispanic beverage. Uses and customs of Mexican cacao and chocolate.   8. I've archived Neill James materials for several years and am starting up again but need a slide viewer. We have a metal box of old slides that supposedly belong to Neill James but none of the photos are of Mexico locales. France, England, India. Germany, etc -all slides are labeled with location and are evidently from the 70's. I need a better view to decide if these should be scanned as well the many file drawers we have of old photographs. Description: Moving to another country might be a very confusing experience when it comes about how the law works there. Our head gets full of questions and doubts. So that going to the experts will give us clarity and mind and power of decision. This course is all about: 1. Wills: Being prepared in the event of death is an important consideration, especially when living in a foreign country. This course will explore many important things to know when preparing your last will and testament. If you are considering a will, this course will help you prepare one in time to take advantage of Mes del Testamento, or September, the “Month of the Will.” (Two institutions of Jalisco work together to bring a much lower price for wills and testaments on September.) 2.   18. Spanish in Action With this course we want to support you in learning to speak the language so that you can communicate with the Spanish-speaking community in an adequate and relaxed way. We will start with level 1 that will last 14 weeks, with classes twice a week for an hour and a half per session. The first level is divided into two courses: 1A and 1B. The second level is divided into two courses: 2A and 2B. The third level is divided into two courses: 3A and 3B. Attendance is two sessions that last two hours each per week, along seven weeks. During the course, four language skills will be worked on: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, oral expression, and written expression. Grammar structures and vocabularies are taught in Sep – Nov 2021 1A - Monday and Thursday - 9:00 to 11:00 am - Sep 20 to Nov 08. Gazebo 1B - Monday and Thursday - 11:15 to 1:15 pm - Sep 20 to Nov 08.
