2Expats
I did a search for renovation contractors. Most posts I found were several years old. Currently, who are the more reliable contractors? English not required. Thanks
Nessa
Call Juan Carlos . +52 332 644 2537 I'm a local investor and Juan Carlos built from scratch and also renovated various properties for me. He has a few other projects around town now. Ask him to show you those in person. chapala.arq@gmail.com Don't hire anyone that can't show you their previous work. I hired an architect from Guadalajara and he cost me over $150,000 usd is damages. When he messed up he left town and stopped responding. I figured it was easier to fix his mistakes than sue him.
chapalence
Avoid, avoid, avoid Enrique Hernandez, AKA Chavaria Enrique, Kiki Hernandez, or others. Every time he screws another expat he changes his AKA. Short, chubby, speaks English, and is a slick snake who grossly overcharges. Doesn't pay workers, doesn't abide by the law, and has NO scrupples.
Mostlylost
And always note there is no such thing as a contractor's license in Mexico. Anyone can say they are a contractor. If a building permit is involved an architect or engineer must sign for the permit.
