BenjiBoy
I have an old cat, a snowshoe female. She is blind as a bat. She has a leaking heart valve, needs laxatives daily.....and I love her. BUT, she cries all or most of the night and I am constantly getting out of bed to show the litter box, or the food. Should I bite the bullet and put her down.... I use Ladron and he said no need for that, yet. What say you? Fred Habacht

maggiemae
My heart goes out to you, Fred. I was in the same situation that you are in when my vet asked me, "Are you keeping Miss Pepper alive for your sake or for her sake?" One of the greatest gifts you can give your beloved pet is a dignified exit. "We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own live within a fragile circle." 1

Hud
She is suffering more than you are. She has earned you doing the right thing for her.
BenjiBoy
I, have not ignored these replies.....I am very thank full for them. I intend to do the unthinkable on Monday at Bernice's Vet location. I have a wife who can seldom be left alone and the next available day is Monday.... mexijims1
Sorry to hear, Fred. However, I think you are making the right but hard decision. Also, glad you are taking her to Bernice, anyone but Ladron. You know what his name is in Spanish!.
