luvsdawgs
How often does it need to be done to keep out the bugs? Once every one or two years? Or less? I do not have a problem with this but think perhaps it should be done on a regular basis. Thanks.

We live in Chapala Haciendas where alecranes are common, as are arañas viuda negra- black widows. Our home was infested with roaches when we bought it due to filth and no regular fumigation. Today, we rarely see alecranes or roaches (never inside the house!) and the black widows are fewer. Before anyone comments, we have 4- old chihuahuas and a cat who lives in our enclosed patio or in the garden. NONE and NEVER have any ever experienced any problems due to spraying. Jreboll
Do research on the products they use. Once I was recommended a fumigant that had been banished worldwide
Dostortas
It’s a pain being fumigated, I find it an annoyance however a necessary evil. I try to do it the least amount of times possible which usually works out to 3-4 times a year. Some years it’s been more due to construction nearby. Floradude
All I can say is that in 19+ years I have never fumigated.

Natasha
Us too. 24 years in 4 different houses ...... occasionally a small problem, but with a little diligent attention ... done! ( up to 6 cats, up to 5 dogs)
NEWMtnMama
If it ain't broke - don't fix it. This house had bugs when we moved in and I fumigated. Then they came back with a vengeance a few years ago. I use FuMaga every 4 or 5 months or when a few of the little devils come back.

luvsdawgs
Thanks, I have used Home Defence sporadically as I do not think I have any bugs. I was just thinking that maybe I should be spraying on a regular schedule, apparently not.
Floradude
I liked Home Defense but it is no longer imported into Mexico, which is what I was told by numerous stores.

Floradude
Good to know. Over many years I found it to be the best to kill Leaf Cutter Ants.
