Water Shut Off Warning

I give up.  My original mail came from WhatsApp and I have played with so much in sending notices locally that it is now a mess.   Here is my translation for the important part.

Next Tuesday, November 22 to Friday, November 25, SIMAPA will carry out maintenance work on the water infrastructure. For this reason there will be suspension of service in the streets:

Emiliano Zapata, Encarnacion Rosas, Felipe Angeles, Lazaro Cardenes, Juarez, Angel Flores, Felipe Angles, Revolucion.

This one looks good for 3 days of a few houses without water and hot days :) $1,200. Don't let the workmen that are sweating dive in :) Costco or other places should have something like it. Maybe the army will park a water tank or two for everyone.

Time to buy an inflatable baby swimming pool and have buckets to flush toilets :) Maybe apartments or neighbors can use one pool for their buckets. That's a long time without water pressure.

Other options:

1 - be sure the house aljibe (if it has one) is topped up

2 - put a small tinaco on the roof and tie it into the house piping, a lot of homes do this as a backup to their pressure system "just in case".    Gravity fed water is a lot nicer than moving it by the bucket.    :-)

Also, fill a large garbage barrel with water.  Put the lid on it to keep from breeding mosquitos.

Many houses here have at least one bathroom with tub.  Fill it. Remove water as needed for whatever.

lets not panick.. there are aljibes and tinacos and pools and friends and neighbors and water bottles. with a little planning it is not the end of the world. In another part of Mexico we can go a month or two without water. The water from the truck is contaminated, the little water there is go the center for the tourist and people living on a hill like I do do not get water. We get water delivery at night 2days sometimes 3 days a week the pression is so low that is does not go up in tinaco.. This is the real Mexico or another face of Mexico. Do not complain get buckets and bottle water and sit tight , this too will pass..

In San Cristobal de las Caas to add salt to the wound the cocacola plant is hoaerding water and using a huge amount..

No water on 16 de Septiembre out by La Floresta even though we aren't on the list.  Checked to make sure our line wasn't plugged with silt as it has been twice in the previous 2 weeks.  Nope, there's just no water in the line.

Masterful timing again, like blocking off accrss to the east side of Chapala during the Feria, and now no water in much of Ajijic just as the Fiesta de San Andreas kicks into high gear.
