Mainecoons
I wonder how much the prices have gone up? For sure, the last time we were there the generous wine pour was just a memory. https://www.facebook.com/watch?v=1314983952604921 May only be viewable if you are on Facebook, sorry. Looks pretty nice. Whoever gets there first, please let us know what other changes including prices. Seems every restaurant in Ajijic has gone expensive except for Cocinart. Lexy
At last, Bruno's has done an attractive and sensible interior renovation. But those prices! Get used to them. That's how they'll be all around town very soon, with or without the white table cloths. Lexy
Mainecoons
Yup, he's getting pretty rich for a still noisy location. I think that is like a 100 peso increase for the beisbol fillet. Eating out in Riberas and Chapala looking better all the time.
tomgates
The baseball filet is little changed in price in 3 years at least. MC, it has never been 250!

HarryB
Sadly yesterday I saw the greasy smoke billowing onto the Carretera.
tomgates
They are still doing steaks the way Bruno did them. Cooked over mesquite, basted with a butter/olive oil baste, and seasoned with a rub consisting of 90% granulated garlic/10%garlic salt. Correct my previous post. The (big) baseball filet is $395, up from $350 several years ago.

That is because part of the remodel was the installation of a smoke extractor over the grill, so the smoke no longer makes dining inside akin to sitting by a campfire. Can you say happy for the improvement ?
artsnob
We had dinner there last night, it was better than ever, the new decor is more spacious so you do not feel crammed in, and they Vicky great paintings on the walls, The best Margaritas Lakeside, the ribs, potato and corn on cob All great as before, we will be going there regularly... court0503
Went the other night to support their comeback after the fire… but sadly any dinner conversation is impossible in that location. the traffic noise , especially the constant trucks, is simply too deafening to ever go back.

artsnob
It was very Quiet when we were there at six, with four others and lots of conversation, as my Partner and I were celebrating our 22 year of being together...

mexijims1
I have heard better things about their ribs offering on the carretera on weekends around La Canacinta, but have not tried it. Anyone know what their prices are like out there and your experiences? Thanks
tomgates
When visiting last week, we had dinner there. Excellent as usual and what we remember. The remodel with white tablecloths add to the ambiance.
