Yellow Fever Vaccine Resource

Recommended Posts

Years ago, having suffered a serious hand injury (stitches required), AJijic Clinic sent me across the street to Famacia Guadalajara to buy the tetanus vaccine (IMSS didn''t have any) .... and return to have the injection. These days can't know, but might be worth checking.

A Google search provided this info: People age 60 and above should not have this vaccine because the side effects can be severe and the chance of getting yellow fever are extremely low. We lived there 12 years and never knew anyone who contacted it or heard about anyone contracting it.

"Visitor in town" makes it pretty clear that they don't reside here.

People do travel to places where Yellow Fever is a real risk.

Not everyone who posts on this board is over 60.
