Nikalos Telsa
I have noticed on several boxes of meds that there is embossed on the end along with a best used by date, a note appearing to say a maximum price that can be charged. Is there some law(s) in Mexico about that? Thanks.
Yo1
The government sets the maximum amount at which a drug may be sold and it is embossed on the end tab of the box. The farmacias then discount from that price.
Ferret
In a perfect world, that would be the case but it is not. Many farmacias put a sticker price OVER the embossed price and it is always higher than the embossed price. I called out Walmart on this practice and got a refund. So, sometimes the "discount" isn't really a discount at all.
Yo1
I believe that when the price goes up to the farmacia, they change the price on any remaining stock they have to reflect the new price. Same happens in grocery stores.
