Read more carefully and understand that what you speak of are tourist nags not what the OP has asked about and did that for no good reason because that therapy equine for kids is long gone and nothing like it exists ANYMORE. Actually Al Berca was not incorrect. The FIRST program which started around 2000 or 2001 rented horses from the horse guys and that's where it happened........ back and forth on the bridle path.
